NT's typically have higher strength so that they can hold the point even when double teamed. This is so they don't get pushed back.

The DT's usually have higher agility, and are built very similarly to what a good LDE is supposed to look like.

NT gets double teamed on almost every play for a lot of teams. They have to be fairly strong.

This thread has a lot of ideas on how to build for specific positions in the D-Line:

Wouldn't the double teaming action depend on the type of D your team is running? I mean 3-4 as opposed to a 4-3?

kinda. not really though. whether it's 3-4 or 4-3 the center and free guard always naturally double the NT.

The N.T. can be build like a pass rusher and succeed. The only difference between the two is a N.T. has a higher chance to get pancaked(more str) and a lower chance to shed block blocks(more agility and speed).

NT generally require more Stamina as well due to the fact they will be facing constant double teams.

Stamina was not so much a factor for my NT. However I had pushed his Strength way up there.
