It might be a bit early, and I am fully aware that some teams are still in full recruiting mode, but here is a first look at what the average levels around the conference currently look like. Of course the usual disclaimer applies, level does not mean everything, but as per usual it might give an indication who might have to rely on better builds, tactics or all of the above to come out a winner.
56.40 Graz Grizzlies; 52 players; median 57
56.00 Bonn Dynamo; 55 players; median 57
55.60 Greenwood Alley Cat; 45 players; median 57
55.47 artic tigers; 30 players; median 56
55.28 FootballForum Fighting Danes; 54 players; median 56
55.07 Paris Dream Bolts; 41 players; median 55
54.67 E-City Mercenaries; 48 players; median 56
54.20 Portland Rage; 49 players; median 55
53.95 Belfast Commandos; 41 players; median 55
53.79 Team Perkis; 45 players; median 54
53.38 West Wales Warriors; 53 players; median 54
53.26 Paris Philharmonic; 50 players; median 54
52.88 Hattgenstein Volunteers; 49 players; median 53
52.31 South Riding Stingrays; 54 players; median 52
51.69 Turin THUNDER; 51 players; median 52
51.33 Paris Penguins; 48 players; median 53
Of course it has to be a bit of a concern for everyone else that the last two Alpha Champions are leading the pack in average and median.
Surprisingly only one team is currently using all of the 55 player roster limit, but then recruiting is certainly still ongoing, so it might be more by the start of the season.
Contrary to the last few seasons chemistry might play a role this time around, especially early on, depending on how long the off season will last. Several teams are sitting at 100 or close to it chemistry, and a good number is somewhere in the 80s. Bringing up the rear with a chemistry of less than 70 are the tigers (btw what is it with teams nicknamed Tigers in WEPL, the last on was all caps, this one does not seem to know what a cap is at all) , given that they have by far the smallest roster at this point I think it is safe to say that they will suffer from their low chemistry at least early in the season.
