Here we are guys. Down to the nitty gritty. Last game of the regular season. Still no seedings are for sure. And the #8 seed in the playoffs is still up for grabs on both sides. I will be putting the East on the left and the West on the right. Let's get to it shall we.
Miami Brawlers(14-1) vs Atlanta DirtyBirds(13-2) 24-31 WEST (correct 13-34)
With such UFC stars as George St Pierre and BJ Penn on your side, how can you lose. All joking aside these two teams match up well. Definately the game to watch. The Brawlers stiff defense gave up a lot of points last week. Look for the DirtyBirds to try to exploit some weaknesses here.
Cleveland Gladiators(14-1) vs Montana Carnage(6-9) 42-10 EAST (correct 20-7)
Cleveland is on a 8 game winning streak since losing to Miami in game 7. They are matched up against a team already eliminated from playoff contention. The carnage will bring their A game to try to pull off the spoiler but it won't be enough. I would like to give a shout out to For Real my HB challenge partner. I wish we didn't have to play each other.
Las Vegas Flyin' Elvis(13-2) vs Dallas Longhorns(11-4) 27-17 EAST (correct 29-3)
It's always exciting watching to running teams go at it. The only problem for the Longhorns is that Elvis shuts down the running game and has a pretty decent passing game. They will win this classic match up.
Georgia Storm(11-4) vs Gotham City Punishers(4-11) 34-6 EAST (correct 27-17)
The Punishers have made some nice additions to the team near the end of the season. They should be in pretty decent shape next year. But they will end the season with a Georgia size boot right up their ass. Sorry Batman.
Chocolate City Cha Chings(11-4) vs Fort Worth Red Riders(8-7) 22-10 EAST (correct 20-17)
This is the battle between chemistry challenged, revolving door teams. Some people have been saying some bad things about Fort Worth's recent additions to the team. I don't know much about it but I have seen the mud fly. CCCC is going to win this game through Karma and Fort Worth will be able to scratch Sully and the Lumberjacks off of their Earl Karma list.
North Carolina Nudists(10-5) vs Mid-Pac Warriors(2-13) 45-0 EAST (correct 58-2)
North Carolina drew the team on the bottom of Sully's power ranking list as their cross conference match up. Nothing surprising going to happen here. Good luck next year Warriors.
Chicago Storm(10-5) vs Minnesota Lumberjacks(8-7) 21-24 WEST (incorrect 24-38)
Chicago is already relegated to away games throughout the playoffs. Minnesota is fighting for that last spot in the west. They are hungrier and want it more, and you know they will be game planning out the wazoo for this one.
New Jersey Revolution(7-8) vs Portland Aftershocks(13-2) 14-44 WEST (correct 12-30)
New Jersey needs this game to have a chance at the eighth seed in the east. Too bad they drew the overpowering Aftershocks. They will try to make a game out of it but Portland will end their playoff hopes.
Bud Dry Beer Barons(6-9) vs Louisiana Rajin Cajuns(9-6) 14-28 WEST (correct 10-33)
Bud Dry needs a win to keep their playoff hopes alive. They face the Cajuns, one of the most hated teams in the West. They are going to be hated by at least one more team after this game.
St. Louis Assassins(6-9) vs St. Paul Shockers(2-13) 24-6 EAST (incorrect 7-27)
St. Louis sneacks into the playoffs with a win against a weaker West team win their two rivals lose in much tougher games. Congratz eight seed Assassins. See you in the first game if all my predictions come true.
Milwaukee Beers(5-10) vs Riverside Revolution(5-10) 10-27 WEST (correct 0-13)
Two teams with equal records swear off in Milwaukee. The records make it look like it will be close, but it won't. It will be a walk in the Riverside park.
Virginia Hustlers(4-11) vs Houston Wave(1-14) 12-9 EAST (incorrect 9-13)
The Hustlers face off against the Wave in an also ran. I don't see many people being interested in this game besides the respective teams. It's going to be a low scoring affair.
Liberty City Convicts(3-12) vs San Fransisco Hawks(3-12) 21-14 EAST (incorrect 3-20)
It's hard to give a prediction on this game. I have never realy scouted either team. We just went with the standard sets when we played the Convicts. I am going to give the nod to the Convicts to show some East pride.
Nashvile Crushers(3-12) vs Sacramento South Side Psychos(12-3) 0-48 WEST (correct 6-45)
There is going to be a bloodbath in Sacramento. This one is going to be ugly. And that's all I have to say about that.
College Station Stallions(2-13) vs Seattle Fish n Chips(13-2) 0-54 WEST (correct 17-33)
Another top vs bottom game. More of a let's put the backups in for experience and get the starters some rest game for Seattle. The real competition is who will score more points this week, Seattle or Sacramento.
Chicago Commandos(2-13) vs Coruscant Death Stars(10-5) 6-38 WEST (correct 0-49)
Most of the top West teams are scraping from the bottom of the barrel this week. And this game will be no different. Just a tune up for the playoffs.
It looks like the East and West will split at 8 games and the two at large playoff bids will be taken by St. Louis Assassins and Louisiana Rajin Cajuns.
