Last season I decided to trade all of my own players for cash to set us up for success this season. We had no money, and I couldn't cover equipment. Now we are set up for success, our stadium will be complete, and we have plenty of money for recruiting talented, devoted players who want to win. Because we are rebuilding, and our chemistry will not be the greatest next season, we expect to be competitive this year, and challenge for the championship next season.
Here is what I'm looking for in players:
1) Check the forums before games - takes very little effort to check out our competition and adjust your tactics.
2) Be willing to stick it out with the team. I'm tired of 1 season day 40 contracts, I understand that you want out if we stink, and I respect that, but it kills our chem, so here is my pitch, sign 2 yrs day 40, if we have a losing record, I will release you after 1 season if desired.
3) Have fun, share experience with other players, and
Here is what I can offer:
1) Established team that will still be here down the road, I have been an owner since season 2 and have this team paid for through season 13.
2) Devotion to my team - I built this team my self, it seems every few seasons we rotate through a completely new roster, which is bad, because it kills chem.
3) Experience - I have created a lot of players with great builds, I am willing to help whoever needs it. (Although, at this level I'm guessing you guys have a good idea about builds)
4) Posting in forums - I check the forums a lot, but my life is also hectic. There are times when I may go without posting, but I will let you know if I'll be gone. The OC and DC will post gameplans and a scouting report.
5) Financially Sound - we currently have plenty of cash, plus we have paid for our stadium upgrades, which will be processed in the offseason.
About my team -
As of now, we are going to try and become a more pass focused team. We ran a lot at first, but that hasn't been working as well, and I would like to create a spread type offense. We will employ a number of WRs who have varied skill sets to help us get our new offense going.
As for our defense, we run a 4-3 and always have. Our D is really trying to build up our secondary, as the pass game becomes more and more important at the AA level. We are looking to upgrade both our secondary and DL.
