Currently slowbuilding a DT. Hoping to get some perspectives on when to address speed in the building process. i think its obvious that strength and agility are the fundamental building blocks during the early stages. Question is, when should speed be brought up to the 48 cap? after agility and/or strength are at 60/68?

Currently level 10 - these are base attributes...
Strength: 52
Speed: 20
Agility: 50

If you're level 10.. retire, IMO, as my DT will have those attributes around level 6 :-/

really?
and how do you go about doing that? you earn 30 skill points over 6 levels, plus the original 15.
im not sure the difference can be made up in training.
should i have capped at the same time?
forgive me for being skeptical.

if you start w/ either str or agi at like 23, train it to 30 and then cap you'd be slightly higher. its possible to hit any combo of 3 caps with a DT by level 10.

so you regular train one attribute to cap as opposed to intense train 2 at a time?

You can actually hit triple caps just as early through intense training and using the bonus tokens. It's really up to you.

So if you're training 2 things at a time, which is the best training option to go for, as you're not allowed to train strength and agility together?

I would say str/tackling OR agility/speed on intense.

depending on the type of DT. Either agility/tackling or strength/tackling.

This has worked for one of our teams very well in the slow build formula. Some will say Strength 1st and I see nothing wrong with that either. Agil worked well for us as early all the OT and C have high str and they only cont. to get stronger,LOL, did we have our fair share of pancakes (yes) but the early agil also allowed us to move around o-linemen nicely early and always train on intense. This as all others is just an opinion.Take it for whats its worth.

DT- 1st -Speed/Agility while capping Agility to 48
2nd - Strength/Tackling while capping Agility to 68
3rd - Speed/Tackling while capping Strength to 68
4th - Speed/Tackling or Speed/Stamina while capping Tackling to 48
5th - Vision/Confidence while capping Speed
6th - Confidence/Stamina or Jumping/Stamina while capping Vision
7th - cap speed to 60 training con/stam or jumping/stam and start adding SAs.
