A quick plan, is it worth it?

The idea is to be able to keep up with WRs, and then either knock the ball out of their hands, or force a fumble.

A general template...

(On any boosts, try to 2nd/3rd cap speed).

Train Speed/Agility, Cap Speed.
Train Agility/Tackling, Cap Agility
Train Strength/Tackling, Cap Tackling
Train Strength/Jump, Cap Strength

Play on power tackler.

+Big Hit AEQ

Focus on Jackhammer VA.

Where is your vision?

And I'd recommend against power tackler.

I haven't started yet. Vision/Confidence would be the last few to be putting points in.

While counter intuitive, the idea would be that it's OK for the WR to catch it, if catching it will sometimes result in a turn over via the tackle. Add this with the general template of a WR to lack Carry/Strength until the last stretch, it may be a good counter. Of course I could be totally wrong, but that's what forums are for.

It could potentially work... the problem is most CB's can't get all that great of momentum to knock balls loose unless they're rocking zone coverage.

Is it worth it? Sure if you want to take a chance and have a team willing enough to let you?

I had an idea like this a while back. May make a CB day 40 to begin my expirment.

I was planning on having the normal 68/68/60/48(jumping), get some CD and SV but not too much. Then I cap strength and tackling to 48. maybe strength to 60. Ignore confidence and catching totally and go light on SAs. VAs are ballhawk and jackhammer. Medium or far man coverage.

The ball gets thrown at the WR who is somewhat open. Ballhawk triggers and my guy speeds up towards the WR. WR catches ball, my CB is at max speed(even if ballhawk deactivates im still going super fast), then BAM I hit the WR and knock it loose....

This strategy might work better with a FS or SS though since they play in zone.

Thats my plan as well. Right now I am 71/71/70/69 Spd/agi/vision/jump and have str at 41. Ballhawk is maxed, 3rd down stopper is at 10, next season I will boost his str to 50 and start working jackhammer

my CB should have str capped in time for next season as well, i'll be sure to shoot updates your way when he does and starts playing games with jackhammer (currently have 4 VPs saved up for it.)

I like Jackhammer.

If you have no problems covering your WR before getting it, it's like adding frosting to a cake. It'll only make it better.

Only thing that worries me is the possibility of it getting nerfed. With the increase in people complaining about knocked loose balls, it's a huge possibility and getting 50 strength on a CB is not like getting it on a safety or linebacker.
