He was in the D-League.
Any decent RB is successful in the d-league.
You're going up against entire defenses that either are saving skill points, or adding them into Speed/Agility/Vision, etc. and not into Strength and/or Tackling.
I'm just saying, there were reasons that he looked decent, and having high Confidence was pretty far down the list.

confidence is basically just a helper attribute
about the last thing you want to get really high on a build (besides kicker/punter)

Helps you not suck from taking all those growls/big hits. Not terribly important, but I do believe it has some inflated purpose in the playoff sims. It's like stamina, but for your morale as opposed to energy.
