I have noticed that almost all punt returners are CBs. I have used my SS on my team and he is a monster. His line is as follows:

163 punt returns for an avg of 26.3 yds with 36 TDs. He leads the conference in Yards, TDs and is 3rd in avg. He is also currently ranked as the special teams MVP.

My question is why do you not see more SS as punt returners?

because most people are sheep and CBs are the only one with retrurn specialist so they think that a returner can ONLY be a CB

your averaging 10 punts a game with a good return average. looks like your on a decent team so your doing a little above average for a returner at this level IMO. Also, not sure but I'm thinking most teams dont just use one guy as a returner. splitting it up so others can get the playing time.

elusive HB's are good as well....but a guard with just speed and strenght set to power running style will probably be as great as any other position....you could problably name every position here it will always depend an the build and the right running style

but maybe its the playing time

I rather have a good rotation between the safeties to keep them fresh than see one of them returning kicks. but you have normaly 5 CB's or 5 WR or maybe even 3 HB's, so there is one who is expandable in some ways

DE is another option. Works well in Pee Wee format. When generating them they have the most 8's available while rolling for both speed and strength. I made one as an experiment last season.

For pee wee's I usually use a WR. Not like they have much else to do.

He did pretty well. But I was using him as a DE and a KR/PR and had a back up KR/PR. So he didn't set records. If you used him only as a KR/PR he would probably do very well.
