Forum > Position Talk > HB Club > What role does Vision Play in Firing HB SAs?

I seem to recall Bort saying somewhere that Vision helps HB SAs fire.

1) Is this true?
2) For which SAs is it true - Juke, Head Fake only? Or also for Power Through, Stiff Arm etc.?

I didn't feel like clogging up the main GLB forum with this question since it's particular to the HB. I'd appreciate any information on this. Thanks in advance for being my forum search function which is otherwise broken. (And yes, I did read different threads for hours trying to find the original quote).

Yeah he did say that, but he didn't specify which SAs it helped.

Got a link to where he said it? I don't remember him addressing it. Not saying he didn't, I'd just like to see it.

No, but he did say it, because he was saying it to me.

It was in one of those big threads about fumbles.

I can try to find it, but I really don't know if I will be able to.

I've looked hard to find it. I'm certain that I read it. But I can't find it. Maybe its time to throw this question out to the GLB main forum?

You are wrong there. Elusive SA's are improved by decent carrying and vison as well. Carrying helps you do just about everything related to carrying the ball. It's "how well do you move with the ball."

Well that would be a secret that only you would know, right

I mean, how am I supposed to know that?

From the ages old build guide:

"Carrying - Don't want to fumble the ball? You better practice your holding ability. The better your Carrying skill, the less you will lose the ball from a good hit. Carrying will also help you make moves to avoid or break tackles."

I'm wondering if carrying actually helps you make moves when you don't have the ball as well, for example when running a route. I know it does not make sense, but since the coding for making jukes with the ball has carrying in it, there is a good chance it does without the ball as well only because they use the same coding.

I doubted, but it's definitely possible.
