Part owner of the "Quick Stop" Clerks, Brodie Bruce has released the following statement.

During week 9 of the season my girlfriend Rene asked me if I would like some breakfast while watching my Clerks take on the Aces and I said to her, "Breakfast, shmreakfast. Look at the score, for Christ's sake. It's only the second quarter and we are up 21 to 14. Breakfasts come and go, Rene, but "Quick Stop", "the Clerk," they only beat Atlantic City once, maybe twice in a lifetime."

Our early season losses are in the past my friends. You face forward, or you face the possibility of shock and damage. The Clerks are here to play and complete in the playoffs. Our new attitude of winning started with that win and will not stop when we meet them in the first round.


I am here to say that I guarantee a first round victory against the Aces.

This is now posted on almost every light post on the board walk and written across the whiteboard in the locker rooms.

I have beena fan of the Clerks since i saw you rename ont eh league roster at the beginning of the season. I knew youre team was a powerhouse that jsut had a bad schedule to start with. Youre pass defense kileld us lat game and im looking for my mafia marker to come in and take out Old man Glenn and Victor Creed. thats our win last game without those bad throws. I am so looking forward to such a worthy opponent.

Just heard on the Aces radio network:

Pressed for comment before his game in Toronto, Aces Quarterback Jon Northcross had to say about this outrageous statement: "I havent read it but I can tell you that we are only concerned about Toronto right now. I can promise you that not a single guy in this locker room has other teams on their minds right now. We just want to go out there and get a win tonight"

However, not all Aces players were so diplomatic in their response to this open and public shot at their team from the Clerks at the Quick Stop. Eastern conference sacks leader Killer McMeanypants, who registered one sack in the Aces/Clerks May 12th matchup said the following: "If Brodie Bruce wants to put his own players at risk like that, then he is going to have to deal with the fallout. Mikhail Rasputin is a fine Quarterback and these kind of statements can put guys like that at risk. Im not saying anything or that anybody on this team might go headhunting, but you never know what happens on the field when you get guys fired up like that"

It appears as if the brewing rematch between the Aces of Atlantic City and the Clerks of the Quick Stop is heating up on a daily basis. We will provided continuing coverage as events unfold here on the Aces radio network.

Alexander Summers wants to know one thing. Is Jon Northcross ok with being on his back for an entire game? I know he is use to being on his knees praying, but this might be a new one for him because Alexander is coming for him.

I know this is all good fun, but please keep this guy from our practices. He seems to be stalking my receiver Dante' Hicks in the picture taken by the police right before they arrested him.
