As a whiskey lover, I felt a little out of place on the beer thread. . . . . . so, discuss your favorite whiskey here.

Can't go wrong with Bushmill's imo

I'm a big fan of Islay whiskys like Lagavulin, Laphroaig, and Caol Ila. Ardbeg also has some good peaty whiskys.

This. I love me some Bowmore as an old standard.

After a few rather eventful nights in college I can no longer even be around Southern Comfort or Wild Turkey

Jameson is my favorite when I want to spend a lil more money.

Old #7 is my most of the time favorite.

I haven't had the opportunity to learn an appreciation for the finer whiskeys so far. All I can say is... stay the fuck away from Evan Williams. It will make you smash all of your lawn furniture.

Actually I take that back, not the part about Evan Williams that's true. I've had some Makers, GlenLivet, Cutty, etc... fairly decent stuff but the topic is kind of broad... so many different kinds of whiskey to talk about. Bourbon, scotch, single malt, , double malt, sour mash...

First thing you have to do is drop the 'E' in whiskey (irish, american) and go with single malt whiskys

(I will admit that I don't mind drinking Red Breast, Jameson, and Middleton, every once in a while, but they are definitely one the boring side in my opinion. Blended scotch is a clear no though)
