No changes to the Ranking system this week, however I am open to Ideas for next season. But I did adjust the way they are presented to better reflect the standings heading into the playoffs. With the weekend coming up no guarantees that a ranking will come out before the final on Tuesday. So enjoy these while you can.

Contenders

#1 – Farkistan Squirrels (14-0, Rank 86.65)

The Squirrels rapid decent into mediocrity continues as they allow a 2nd TD and only score 10 points above Anchorages average allowed (The 1st time since week 8 that they didn’t exceed that number by at least 22). All Joking aside, the top team in BBB#7 once again handled top competition and now looks to get ready for the playoffs vs. a improving but overmatched Mels squad. (Last week #1, +0)

#2 – Gary Gangstaz (13-1, Rank 79.46)

While the rankings like Gary over Niagara by just over 1 point, they are running out of hope for securing home field in the playoffs. Next up is an up and down Jax Beach, who the Gangstaz can’t afford to look past if they want any hope of home field throughout. (Last week #2, +0)

#3 – Niagara Rapids (13-1, Rank 78.44)

Niagara feasted on the dregs of the Eastern Conference last week, and gets another game against the bottom of the conference this week in Richmond. It will take a major slip up either this week or in the final game vs. the 22 ranked Tarheels for them to loose home field advantage. (Last week #3, +0)

#4 – Austin Alcoholics (12-2, 66.46)

Austin A. performed almost exactly to league average against San Diego. Keeping them in the #4 spot by a comfortable margin. A win this week vs. Texas Two Step or a loss by the breakers will clinch the 2 seed in the Western Conference. (Last Week #4, +0)

#5 - Austin Breakers (11-3, 62.63)

Austin B. used a win over a solid Atlanta club and an upset of a top 5 State of Texas to get into the top 5. The Breakers are all but locked into a 1st round home game and look to solidify that standing vs. the reeling Paraplegics. (Last week #6, +2)

#6 – Louisville Baby Kittens (11-3, 60.54)

Wow, Brick must be motivated today, as you are getting more than 5 write-ups. Louisville has been hovering just outside the top 5 for weeks, and knocked off a top 10 Lincoln squad to move up to 6 in this weeks rankings. Next up is The State of Texas in a BBB#7 game of the week with huge playoff implications. (Last week #7, +1)

#7 – The State of Texas Domination (10-4, 59.05)

In week 14’s biggest upset, The State of Texas Domination lost a close one to Appalachian. Now they face some even tougher competition in The Baby Kittens. A loss this week could cost them home field in the 1st game of the playoffs. (Last week #5, -2)

#8 – LA Chupacabras (10-4, 54.80)

A Former fixture in the top 5, the Chupacabras needed a rebound last week against Washington St. to stay in the home field hunt. Fortunately for LA the remaining teams on their schedule have combined for 3 wins, however a slip up could hand a home game to the Vikings. (Last week #8, +0)

In the Hunt

#9 – Oakland Nation (9-5, 51.80) (Last week #11)
#10 – Anchorage Vikings (9-5, 50.09) (Last week #9)
#11 – Atlanta Purple Penguins (9-5, Rank 49.45) (Last week #12)
#12 – Appalachian Lycans (9-5, 48.31) (Last week #14)
#13 – Lincoln Freedom Warriors (9-5, 47.86) (Last week #10)
#14 – Atlanta Ducks (8-6, 42.87) (Last week #13)

On the playoff Bubble

#15 – Texas Two Step (8-6, 41.64) (Last week #15)
#16 – Houston Armageddon (7-7, 36.13) (Last week #17)
#17 – Saginaw Spirit (7-7, 35.13) (Last week #18)
#18 – Killer Rabbits (7-7, 34.56) (Last week #16)

Outside looking in

#19 – Baton Rouge Bayou Bengals (5-8-1, 23.62) (Last week #19)
#20 – Charlotte Panthers (5-9, 23.39) (Last week #20)
#21 – Washington State Whodat's (5-9, 23.25) (Last week #21)
#22 – Texas Tarheels (5-9, 23.05) (Last week #25)
#23 – Visalia Paraplegics (5-9, 21.35) (Last week #22)
#24 – Malibu Mels (5-9, 19.21) (Last week #24)
#25 – Jax Beach Juggernauts (5-8-1, 18.95) (Last week #23)
#26 – Red Bank Thundercats (4-10, 12.88) (Last week #27)
#27 – Las Vegas Outlaws (3-11, 8.78) (Last week #26)
#28 – DFL Gods (2-12, -0.93) (Last week #29)
#29 – Big Money Dynasty (2-11, -1.93) (Last week #28)

Lucky there isn’t a BB league

#30 – South Bend ShamRockers (1-13, -7.10) (Last week #30)
#31 – San Diego Aztecs (0-14, -15.07) (Last week #31)
#32 – Richmond Empire (0-13, -20.79) (Last week #32)

Seconded on the thanks, man.

Tomorrow's game should be interesting. It'll be a nice barometer of just how much the Mels have managed to improve.

We look forward to seeing you on your home field. We have to end our regular season with two road games, and I guess if we're going to travel, we'd prefer to travel to sunny Malibu.

Oh, you're gonna love it. Malibu caters very well to tourists, particularly Farkistinians. Please, tell your guys not to be afraid to enjoy our many fine clubs, bars and brothels. It's a great time, don't worry about sleep, stay out all night!

Hell, we have some outstanding social services, so if any of your players, say, your starting backfield, calls one of our officers "Sugartits" or something of the like, and get arrested before the game tomorrow, they'll find our jail is very accommodating (great food!), and I'm sure they'll get out in time for the playoffs.

I'm totally putting that up in the Squirrels Pre-game analysis.
