I cant decide which to equip. Any thoughts?

I have been building a hard hitting SS, already have custom EQ on the hitter tree...

monster hit is currently at 4
closing speed is at 2

closing speed can increase FF's and the like through increased speed when contact is made correct?
monster hit has obvious advantages

If you're a hard hitter, I would take Monster Hit.

Closing speed won't increase your fumble count by that logic simply because closing speed only activates at a certain distance, then deactivates when you catch up. If you're a hard hitter, and you have very high speed and agility 90+/70+ your monster hit should be about 10 or 11. (more if you can)

Still not sure about CS helping with fumbles. I've heard different things and would like more CS verification from the powers that be. Monster Hit is good for SSs who are often in run support though

I agree . . . I'd be very skeptical about CS increasing fumbles.

the only way closing speed would increase your forced fumbles that makes sense to me is by letting you catch people you might not have, leading to more tackles and thusly more chances to force a fumble.

and i wouldn't expect that number to be as high as monster hit

prob equipping monster hit as it will also maximize "free SP"

closing speed is more for making tackles/PD's. Go hard hitter if you're looking for FF. Most of my guy's have come off of Monster or Big hits.

I'd take the Closing Speed. You won't get many FFum if you aren't making the tackle.

I think closing speed might be better for a FS or SS who play in a deeper zone a lot while monster hit is probably better for a safety who plays closer to the line in run support
