Do teams prefer a rushing or blocking FB? I assume a blocking FB, but I just wanted to hear some input.

So far I've found that teams will only use a rushing FB if they can't fine a good HB. Considering that HB's are a position that are relatively abundant, that means it's going to be hit or miss from season to season. A blocking FB, however, can usually find a place on every team. It is possible to do a little of both, but only in the lower leagues.

Blocking IMO If you have great strength, agility and blocking you can get speed later and complete the build with some vision, confidence and stamina.

Sometimes high strength FBs can double as a blocker/powerback.

What's a typical build for blocking full back? Str to 68, block to 68, agil/vis/speed to 60?

It varies. Most will say lots of strength, agility and speed with some blocking and vision.

I am building mine a little different. I took agility to 68 first then blocking and strength to 61 before level 22. Then I took speed to 50. I split my eq between agility and speed. I am now working to take blocking and strength to 68 in that order. I will be training vision and confidence while I do this and then take speed to 60. Finally I will cap vision and cconfidence in my mid 30's.

I guess its up to you how to build him. I prefer a good blocker. Others like to build a strong powerback type FB. This season I have noticed the 90+ strength FBs seem to have way less pancakes. I am not sure why.

Holding a block for a FB isn't that useful IMO though. I would rather have a high power one who is more likely to bowl the receiver over. And if you're rolling with a speed back, your FB needs to be able to get out in front of him. I also think it's important to have a speedy FB for plays like the Strong I pitch.

FWIW, I'd also rather have a receiving FB than a rushing FB. Plays like flares seem like they'd be pretty deadly if you had a scatback and receiving FB.
