I have a level 34 blocking FB (gonna be level 35 after his game today) and I'm not certain what direction to take him from here:

http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=981338

First off, I'm training up vision and confidence now, and I know I'll bring vision up to 50 or so, probably by the start of next season. Stamina will receive some work also. I'm not interested in working on catching or jumping or carrying... I might train them for a while but I have no plans to become a ball carrier. Strength is at 74+ before equipment so I have no need to take that much higher.

My question is, what's most important to work up to 68? Blocking? Speed? Agility? Do I need to get vision up to 60, or will 50 be good enough for blitz pickup? What about confidence to 50... is there really anything a blocking FB needs confidence for? And which SAs are most valuable? I'm assuming Lead Block will require a heavy investment, but then what... Strong Arm? Pancake?

Any advice is appreciated.

SPD/AGL to 68 for sure (you may even want to move some EQ from STR to SPD to ensure you can keep out in front)
BLK doesnt need to get to 68 .. just let it auto level from where you have it now
I think vision is OK around 50
CON to 1st cap cant hurt

Of the SA - yep Lead Block is good for run blocking / Strong Arm for pass blocking - although I havent invested heavily in them myself. Ive never bothered with Pancake SA ... people tell me that it doesnt make much difference to their Pancake numbers

Im liking the Get Low AEQ piece that I have

I have heard that Quick Cut can help too

Agility to 68, then vision to 48, then speed to 68. Always hold off on speed, and you need that vision, trust me.

I'm inclined to agree with you on blocking, as FBs should never have to hold their block for all that long... either pick up a blitzer for a second or two as the QB throws or pick up a LB or safety long enough for the HB to get past. I was also thinking that Quick Cut/Change Direction would be nice to have on a piece of AEQ... I like my First Step piece to help get up to full speed and get out in front of the ball carrier, but of course it doesn't trigger all the time.
