An interview with Mavooo owner of the Portland Rage
1. Can you tell us a little about yourself?
I 'm 35 ( I think, I started subtracting a year here and there when I started seeing gray hair) . I have 3 kids. I have to compete with my oldest all the time for CPU time. He wants to play a game called Dark Orbit and I had to go and buy his some uridium (their equivelent to flex points) now it seems like we're always competing for CPU time!
2. When did you purchase your team?
I purchased it in season one with one game to play. I was in WEPL interestingly enough. It's been a long climb back but we've finally returned!
3. How do you feel about the way the season is going?
I couldn't be more excited. After sending PM's to support in an attempt to get Greenwood/Danes up here I thought to myself, why did I go and do that for!! lol We brought up our biggest competition from AAA with us for goodness sakes!!! The Danes very well could have beaten us in the playoffs a year ago. So I had major concerns we could very well return to AAA if we didnt bust our humps to prove we belong. So to be 7-1 at the halfway point is great.
4. What do you think about the Sim compared to last season?
Best version yet.
5. Who do you see winning the Championship?
Obviously we'd love to be in the thick of it. Can we compete for it? I dunno, we have some tough games coming up, the Bonn and Bolts stick out right now, but all will be tough. If you put a gun to my head I'd say Bonn and Berlin in the title game.
6. If Bort were to add something to the game what would you want it to be?
A Pro Bowl game. Implement and allow a submission from each team owner where they are unable to vote for their own players and have it take place on day 40 at the last available scrimmage time. Wouldnt it be easy to reserve the scrimmage servers for the last available time slot?
7. Have you built any rivalries and if so who with?
Dinas would have been, given our past history were they still here. The Danes and Greenwood are our biggest rivals. Always enjoyable to beat those guys. Mostly because I know how tough and good those teams are so when you're lucky enough to beat them, you really appreciate and enjoy the win.
8. Do you believe in Aliens or Ghosts?
Believe in Aliens? Hey if they have their green card what do I care! Space Ghost was cool. Didnt like Casper.
9. Anything else you would like to add before we part ways?
level 56 equipment is a bitch, my daughter plays the Jonas Brothers and it's kinda catchy! lol. Selma Hayek is way hotter then Penelope Cruz. Frozen Yogurt is better then ice cream, it doesnt melt as fast. Haynseworth is going to be the MAN! Xavier Armor is the Rages version of Haynsworth. Strongarm Powers for MVP. Anthony Newvillage for DEF MVP. Turbo Jones for President! Love to listen to Dean Martin music. Don't like Sinatra. Hate the new limewire look. Drew Barrymore was so hot before she reduced her boobies. Jennifer Aniston looks like a dude. Cant explain it.
