Greetings everyone. I have a LOLB built for pass coverage in the low 30s. He's performing well, doing what he is supposed to do, always in between 3 and 7 in the conference MVP race, but there's just one issue that I'm having problems with: Being blocked.

On way too many plays I am left blocked for the whole length of the play. Now, this didn't use to happen in the previous seasons when I was faced up against much higher level TEs, and I can't believe that it is simply bad luck and that all TEs I've been matched with are blockers only. Oh and this is also evident on special teams plays.

It's not a question of morale or energy, this happens both on games where I end up at 33 energy 15 morale or games with 73 energy 98 morale.

So, what I'm asking for is help on this issue. What could be the problem? Any tips on what to do? Some more context might be necessary, so, I've got only 1 point in shed block (from the custom equipment), recently rolled a +5% break block +1 wrap-up tackle which is now upgraded to +11% break block +2 wrap-up tackle. AGI is at a healthy value although STR might be a tad low (in the 40s). Also, currently on evasive mode to try and get around blockers to take advantage of the agility.

Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Strength

assuming agility is at least 65, then yea I'd say strength. 55 or so strength seems to be fairly effective when it comes to shedding FB and TE blocks. Vision can also help with avoiding them, but even 65 vision you still get blocked sometimes.

So 13 more strength would make a noticeable difference?

I'll try, but doesn't look very likely...

you said it yourself. Agility and shed blocks need to come up. Also yes str will help you, keep adding str till you notice an in game difference.

I don't think having more agility is healthy at my level. Thing is, everyone keeps saying "no SAs" for linebackers, meh...

Will try capping strength and putting a few points on shed block.

EDIT: Also, many thanks for the people who replied!

You'll need more signficant investment to see the difference for which you're looking. If you're a special teamer, bumping STR eventually to the second cap will probably make a big difference in FF numbers as well...

I looked at a few plays, and I think STR will help you from getting pushed, especially early in the game.

Don't listen to the fucking idiots who down linebacker s.a's. It only says they have no clue. That's all they are saying. They might as well say, "hey, I have no idea how to build a linebacker, why ask me." I am really tired of hearing that the s.a's for linebackers suck. All of them are pretty good.Monster hit is one of the best in the game. I can point to 10 teams who get run on a lot. All 10 teams would be neglecting monster hit. Diving tackle is good, shed blocks is good. about 6 of them are pretty good. I wouldn't pay much attention to Trash Talk, the Glare, Snarl, or Big sack. But you could make a respectable linebacker with any of the other 6. snarl is pretty decent though if it's high enough.

I already know how it will go. Take a look at my S.S. he has 70 str. he usually doesn't get held for long, if he isn't avoiding blocks altogether with his agility and speed.

Yea I look forward to hearing your results. And I agree the LB SAs are a bit underrated.

Your SS is 15 levels higher though

And misled, I do not play ILB or MLB, only LOLB and special teams, therefore defense general won't work at all on me.

This was a bad call by the D.C. but look at this S.S. plow through the Center, then another lineman. If he didn't have any str he would not make this play.
