... with 10 skill points and 3 boosts left this season!

http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=779794

Yes, I still know that his average sucks, etc., etc. Still a work in development. His punting skill is 105.98 without equipment. Boosts will take this over 107.

Yes, my goal is to take him over 100 punting bar. This is the player that first proved that you can get over 100 natural skill. I hope to blow up all GLB when his punting bar goes to 102

29 skill points to increase punting 1 point

Good luck, man.

EDIT: Would you mind opening up his build? I'd really like to see it.

wow...no offense, but this proves that you can't really be good with all punting

For your own reference, natural gains will get you +5.19 points until level 75 (6 levels per season, 4.5 seasons left, round up a bit = 75).

With 12 more points in the bar to get, this leaves you needing to make up 6.81 from attributes only. That is like adding 55 in agility and vision combined. If those are already capped, that'd be like taking them from 49 to the 77 cap... A cost of ~180 skill points which you wont quite get by level 75. Though you would make some up in training value!!

I'm assuming training/SP in punting is out of the question. I have a feeling the training value in agility/vision is more than 5 times that of punting, hehe. Confidence is probably out of 5:1 already also, thus you might as well just do the work in agility vision, and once again those have better training value than confidence at this point.

---

If you really want to make it, my recommendation is to say "screw it" to natural gains on agility/vision. They are .05 right now, so 20 levels for +1. Meaning rushing to caps is essentially irrelevant. If you sat on training agility + vision right now, don't stop training that pair, cash in all of your bonus tokens and spend all your SP on those at level 75, you'll make it easily.

I guess there would become a point you'd want to go to 60, and keep training the pair there. I guess just cap it when the decimal is a level away from crossing over the .51, etc.

That is, assuming you are at 49/49 right now on those

More discussion if you PM me the build or post it

Yup, it is precisely what I guessed in the strong leg pub.

You can train speed/agility and put all points in that until 77 and you'll get the 102 bar around level 70-75

1st off thanks for opening your build. I think you proved how important str is.

Quick question does equipment effect the gold bar?? If not why don't you sell your equipment and put it in str? This will help you become more valuable to your team. Or I could be wrong.

Good luck breaking 100!!

Equipment doesn't effect the bars at all.

Another punter: punt average 47.7 yards, strength 53
Yet another punter: punt average 49.8 yards, strength 53

Two examples that "prove" that strength isn't that important.

Thus why I'd rely on xhail's analysis more than on either of our "proofs". He has many more data points and has shown statistical significance. Strength counts, but not as much as people think.

Note, there is a better explanation why my 90 punting bar punter's average is low...

Biggest factor, IMHO.

Yes to both. No VAs assigned for this punter right now, waiting to understand value of things like Clutch, Streaky, NitC, etc.

Also need SAs.

However, sticking with the plan to get towards 100+

Weird, I thought your build wouldn't be that far behind mines AVG wise, but I'm way ahead of you. Must be the Veteran abilities and SAs I have.
http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=90584

I wonder how much the too many punts plays into avg like some of us have notice. I do think your guy would be a beast if he 2-capped vision and 1-capped strength.

Too many punts is a huge factor. I'm guessing from my experience that it is from 5-10 yards/punt easily if you punt 25 times a game versus less than 5. SAs are worth a couple of yards as is the VAs.

I could cap now as you suggest, but saving points until I can optimally cap (thanks to Octowned for the suggestions).
