Fwiw I planned on gutting once the Hedgehogs lost a regular season game, but you fuckers just can't beat us.... Perhaps weak 7 Monmouth can help us out...

Not borts fault. Lets examine Pro's 3 guts...

1. Spicewood. RJ, bless his soul, got too invested in the game being fixed immediately and let his emotions build up to a breaking point. Season 9 isn't that bad and is being fixed, and if he was gonna gut season 8 would have made more sense.

2. CCCC. The owner makes two playbooks which are way too fucking big to have any ability to adjust/gameplan, and he tells his whole team to get zone specialist while he sucks balls at making zone plays. This is an owner who's overburdened without quality co-ordinators and was likely destined to gut anyhow. No offense meant, but certain AAA teams don't have it in them to face adversity in Pro.

3. Kamazoo. No idea why they gutted, but the east is made of girl who give up too easily imo...

I.E. not borts fault...

Its Bort's fault because he blew up a game that was working fine save for one play scenario.

1. RJ left because he, like I, find this version of the sim equally shitty to season 8. Just different ways.

2. CCCC yeah, he was overburdened. I knew the feeling back in S5 and 6.
I'm sure its from lack of looking for coordinators. I could argue it's Bort's fault that - for staerters - no one fucking knows who coordinates for who unless they stand out and are publicly acknowledged by others. Why this 'sim' doesn't have a listing along with GMs for OC and DC specific slots at bare minimum, is beyond me. One of the hundreds of simple things missing from this 'sim'

3. <-- equally clueless about Kal

Ultimately, Bort didn't need to - once again - reinvent the wheel for S9. The tire was flat in S8, an easy fix. Instead, he replaced it with a largely untested but promising new tire.

K-zoo hasn't really been the same since Ronin left. I actually thought they would be done before now.

As to Spicewood, I can't figure out what the heck they did to allow 8 KR TDs to SDL. Their return team is good...but I wasn't impressed on the level of it being like the Bears/Hester in real life.

Same here. I thought they were done after S8, but some of the Rhode Island guys came onboard to help out. I actually contacted a couple of their guys because I was so sure they were done for. Felt bad for doing that after the fact.

Of course, K-zoo and Spicewood's downfall have been our gain. We've added some really good players and agents because of it.

Actually, lets revisit this.

I made two playbooks which were huge but in the end started working right. I knew we would start the season slow but that was ok with me if it made us better in the end.

Zone defense had two major bugs. They were bugs that only happened in zone which caused defenders to have to pass a vision check every tick instead of just one. Imagine your entire defense playing with 0 vision and let me know how you think you will do, I'm all ears. The next bug was defenders were not staying in their zones in the flats and at the shallow thirds. Let me know how your defense would do if players didn't cover guys. The third bug was the CBs jumping routes. Speed made this worse and when every defender is running zone specialist and ball hawk they were running with about 150 speed causing them to jump just about every route, then they were jumping every route because they were failing vision checks because they had to pass 5-10 on every pass play instead of 1.

The next problem we were having is with finances. Unlike the season 1 teams up here we had one less season to pull income in. We also only had home field throughout once or twice and weren't blessed with being in USA Pro to get the best possible ticket sales and concession sales for 8 seasons. This led to a severe shortage of money which didn't allow us to buy everyone level 48 equipment, much less 56.

If you still feel like we weren't working an uphill battle and none of this was avoidable then fine, take your shots. We'll be back in season 11 and we'll hang more than 77 the next time we meet up. By the way, congrats on your season 4 championship, you guys are on a roll (no offense).

No idea either...RJ was fooling around with the shit all night...matching up players with opposing SDL players...i guess he set some really nice matchups for SDL.

It was far more than the 8 returns that sent RJ packing tho...that was just the straw that broke the camels back.

- Change to flats zones, to make the defenders not chase anyone out of the zone at all
- Change to zone coverage vision checks to require only one passed check once the ball has been thrown, instead of requiring a check every tick

Zones still aren't that great but slightly better than the first 2 games. The overjumping stuff definitely is annoying though

PT, I apologize if you took my post as a direct shot at you and your team, I am just calling it like I see it and no true malice is meant. If you are going to rebuild in AAA I look forward to seeing you up here season 11 bud.

As for the shots at my teams season 4 championship and loss to you, irrelivent imo. We've had 2 non-winning seasons where we've missed the playoffs and never gutted then nor did we gut mid-season. We are also a season 2 team who has had less home playoff games than you and has only been in Pro once extra year, yet I didn't gut because I have players on my team who don't have full LVL 48 equipment.

We also run a good bit of zone, and the mistakes in zone coverage are either overstated or have been fixed by bort in the last few days, so no biggee there. So yes, I'll take my shots. Good job giving up 3 games into the season, you have the shots coming imo.
