Is Heavyweight still effective for a DE with strength in the low to mid 60's?

I don't know. I would think it still has a chance of working anytime you break a block, but what % base chance you are working off of is anyone's guess.

Low to mid sixties at what level of competition?

At level 35-40 it works pretty well. At 50+ competition, not so much.

I've got the same question. My DE is slow building and will have around 80 agility and speed and 65 strength naturally plus whatever I put my equipment in. I'm assuming that he'll be breaking a lot of blocks, so would it be a good idea to invest in heavyweight? This will be in Eastern Europe A.

No. It doesn't say "gives a 30% of knocking down players when breaking blocks" it says "gives a +2% BONUS to knocking down a player...".

If you have a 0-10% chance of knocking down a player when breaking a block, then a 50% bonus to that doesn't mean much. If you have a 30% chance of knocking a guy down, +30% means a lot more.

i think heavy weight works better with stronger players.

Heavyweight works more on rushing plays than passing plays in my experience- and this is coming from a 120+ strength DT

The problem with trying to figure out if heavyweight is working on running plays though is you don't know if it is a reverse pancake or a failed cut block.

unfortunately i have to agree with darren mcfadden my DE(lvl31) has low strength(~50) and high agility(~85) and 7 in heavyweight, i don't think he has knocked any OT's down on running plays or pass plays this season so far
