I know everyone likes trophies and stats. But do the GM's in USA pro think it would be easier from a recruiting point of view if they did not give out trophies or keep track of records after the season is over?
It is getting harder and harder to recruit quality talent when they take a look at your record and see that it isnt being successful in the league.
Comparing to it baseball, no one in their right mind would rather play for a successful triple A team then for a Major league team even if it is not a successful one.
I shouldnt be losing out on good talent to a successful A or AA league team. I also understand relegation, but to be relegated because you lose with equal talent is alot different than to be relegated because you cant field a competitive team because someone would rather try to win a trophy in AA than to play for a Pro league Team.
