I've got a question. On my team there are 4 WR and 2 TE. As a team the six of us have 9 drops. I am the highest level. I have the highest catching, jumping, vision, speed and agility (2 of the guys have a higher confidence). I have more points in sticky hands than anyone else and I have five more points in the sure hands VA. I account for 4 of the 9 drops. I've tied the number of drops in four games this year that I had in sixteen games last season.

What is the problem? Did Bort F with something?

I have been noticing similar trends for TEs. I think part of the cause may be due to the fact that TEs get covered by LBs with AOI and other moral hurting SAs. These may be leading to the higher rate of drops. I have noticed that even after wins and games in which he did well, my TEs moral has been pretty low several times and I think the LB SAs are the cause. SS also cover the TE sometimes and Jackhammer seems like a popular choice for them, leading to more drops on TEs.

4 drops on just 9 receptions is really high though.

That's what I'm saying. 1:2 ratio isn't cool.

I haven't had a drop in three games. And it looks like I've been targeted alot more. I can't figure this out...

Yea, and 4 games ago I had 9 catches and no drops. I just noticed my morale has dropped to 90, undoubtedly because of the drops. Help!

18 receptions and 4 drops here but I'm on a peewee so it really doesn't matter.

I did cap catching first and no SAs.

one thing to keep in mind is that, somewhat counterintuitively, the higher your catching, the larger your catching radius, the more chance you'll have to get your hands on a ball but then not haul it in, which counts as a drop. So what might be a simple incompletion for someone with low catching will be a drop for someone with high catching. So high catching can actually result in more drops, but it should be resulting in more overall completions as well.

The other thing I think is a factor is QB passing style, bullet vs. loft. Adjusting that seems to make a difference. Here's some discussion on it in the QB Club.

with one thought being "Drops > deflections, go more towards lofty. Deflections > drops, raise it to bullet."

Good points. I'll bring the bullet/loft discussion up to my O-coordinator. I don't suppose it would hurt to see if it made a difference.

My leagues like top 20 in dropped passes is completely TE/HB.
