I thought this whole thing would be right after week 4. Thank you for trying to do some kind of rankings but you need to get a new system. Your #1 team is one of the worst in the league. The College Station Troopers should be close to the top if not the #1 team. 2 of the teams above we have destroyed.

Strength of Record = (Total number of wins of opponents you have defeated) - (Total number of losses of opponents that have beaten you)

Quality of Play = (Actual total point differential) - (Predicted total point differential)

It is essentially how many points (total) that team has beaten (or not beaten) the spread by. I feel it is a good indicator of whether a team is playing better or worse than expected.

MOJO beats one of only 2 other undefeated teams in the east and yet we fell a place again. How is it that this system rewards you for beating good teams but we fell a place after beating an undefeated team, yet the number 1 team is 0-5? So by your system if you suck real bad your the best, but if you continue to win you lose ranking places???

don't dig taking my personal time to be told it is invalid i took the time to do the work and input it all and yet you guys are ungrateful and as such i have choosen that i am done posting these.

just because your 5-0 doesn't mean squat just look at the bcs or pro football. so as i have said i am done this is my last ranking post

Keep it up, who cares if they whine? Now if by week 15 it hasn't corrected itself you might want to recheck somethings...but until then at least let us see if this whole thing can come to fruition.

It's the same guys complaining; just ignore it.

Most of us who've been around a while realize these rankings won't start to right themselves until about week 8-10.

Keep it up; most of us enjoy it. At least the humor parts!

I am all for this gmoney, but I am confused just like bghiii. Are we using preseason scores still, or just regular season. If I manually did this by your definitions, the Swarm would have a 10 for SOR (10 wins total for opponents beaten - 0 losses for opponents lost to) and QOP would be 142... I do not know where that would rank us... Is that how it SHOULD be? Is there something I am missing?

My issue with this is simply that, even though its only week 5, a power rankings system that has a winless team as the best thing out there clearly has major flaws. I appreciate you doing this, but I think that the formulas need some sort of modification if a team that can't beat anyone is considered the best.

If you look at team names on the power rankings, it's pretty much alphabetical...Coincidence? I think not.

I especially like the people that are bitching because they aren't ranked high on this poll but are undefeated, that was awesome.

I for one appreciate the ranks if for no other reason than it genereates talk. His rankings don't have to be perfect and it really doesn't matter if you are ranked higher or lower than you should be its not like these rankings determine who will move up that is decided on the field or at least on the processor.
