so you trained catching + vision and capped vision first

it's a bit unorthodox but speed is generally held as more important than vision. that said it's not as if you soft-capped strength or something first.

Because you worked on a minor skill, catching, before your major skills, you will now struggle to get the major skills up to competitive levels. You may have a playable build, you will likely struggle against any decent WR in the game.

In general it can be good to stray from the cookie cutter build, but there are reasons the cookie cutters exists. They at least serve as a good model for a base build. You have a fair amount of catching for your level, but catching is useless if you can't get to the ball without at least a fair amount of speed and agility.

You should have built a fair base amount of speed and agility before getting any catching.

Why wouldn't you do an activity? It doesn't cost more, or hinder your training in any way.. it's silly to not load up on shopping tokens, at least

because you get a small bonus to training. Which will help cap vision sooner.

The bonus is approximately 10%. It's a good idea to grap a handful of shopping tokens, but only if you have the patience to wait until you are in your 30's to spend them. You tend to get better equipment at the higher levels.

Huh?

You seriously get better training if you don't do an activity along with it?

For instance, if training speed on normal, with +1 shopping token, gives you 15%, then training speed on normal with NO ACTIVITY might give you >16?

It says right on the menu (small training bonus).... so yes.

Edit - if not, why would anyone use 'no activity?'

Vision helps with picks, but you won't be near as fast or agile as you need to be later. You will see what I'm talking about when you hit the big leagues.

It's not a terrible idea at all, if you plan to take vision straight to 68 from there.

The biggest problem you will face is some poor performance at low to mid levels.

If you follow that path, you can be very good by level 48 or so...but you will suck it up a bit if you mean to be effective around level 16-35.

I would've done vision/agility first if you wanted it to work out better.
