USA BBB#14 Western Conference

Current top 8:
1. Buffalo Rangers (14-1-0)
2. Albuquerque Mustangs (12-3-0)
3. Omaha Dogs (12-3-0)
4. Reno 911 (11-3-1)
5. San Diego Marauders (10-5-0)
6. Chattanooga Quarantine (10-5-0)
7. Kalamazoo Wolverines (10-5-0)
8. Hyborian Divine Messengers (9-5-1)

On the fringe:
9. Anchorage Seawolves (9-6-0)

Tough matchups remaining (top 9 teams)...projected record (record against current top 8 teams) (remaining opp ranking) - projected losses in last 4 games

1. Buffalo - 1 tough matchups...14-2 (7-1) (1st) 0 or 1

2. Albuquerque - 1 tough matchups...13-3 (5-3) (9th) 0

3. Omaha - 0 tough matchups...13-3 (5-3) (12th) 0

4. Reno - 1 tough matchup...12-3-1 (4-3-1) (8th) 0 or 1

5. San Diego - 1 tough matchups...10-6 (4-4) (3rd) 1

6. Chattanooga - 1 tough matchups...10-6 (3-5) (4th) 1

7. Kalamazoo - 1 tough matchups...10-6 (3-5) (6th) 1

8. Hyborian - 0 tough matchup...10-5-1 (2-5-1) (10th) 0

9. Anchorage - 0 tough matchups...10-6 (2-6) (15th) 0

Playoff Outlook:

The top 4 teams have clinched a home playoff game and Buffalo has clinched the #1 seed. The rest of the picture is muddled. If my projections are correct, and there’s a 4 way tie at the bottom, then this is how it would shake out:

5. Hyborian
6. San Diego (unless Kalamazoo scores more than 64 points more than SD in its last game)
7. Kalamazoo
8. Anchorage (unless Chattanooga scores more than 39 points more than Chattanooga in its last game)
9. Chattanooga

Nope. That's something I would like to see eventually though. It's been suggested, but there's a lot of other more important things that I rather Bort work on, haha.

Thanks Scarlet. Although I'm not sure what this football stuff is you speak of. It's been awhile since we've had that in BBB#14...

Yes, very interesting.

Question - what determines tie-breaks in rankings for team with the same record? Looking at the teams in both conferences, head-to-head seems to determine it when 2 teams are tied, but what about when 3 or 4 teams have the same record (as is currently the case for 2nd place in both East and West)? I'm sure there's an answer somewhere in the forums, but I bet someone here knows.

Offensive pts scored I believe is the next tie breaker.

In that situation, I believe it goes to who scored the most points. Then who allowed the least points.

Haha, I didn't doubt you guys, I just always picked the higher seed to win. It was just a methodical way to do it. But now you have something to prove

Must be something else. Assassins have same record as Bruins. We've scored more points, allowed less points, won the head to head matchup, and we're still ranked behind them...

Yeah, the east is all sorts of messed up. I'm not sure what the deal is in that situation. Bort isn't even sure because we've discussed it a bit in the mod forum, haha.
