Ok, so it seems to me like their is need for stat objectional rankings in the BBB #4. These rankings are completely based on overall performance in the areas of record, who-beat-who, and by how much. That being said I set out on a process of ranking the top 1/2 of the league. After over an hour of analyzing teams and games I looked at myself in the mirror and said "WTF are you doing? You're not working half as hard as you do at your job and you're not even getting paid for this". I'll probably do the top 1/2 next week but for now here's the top 1/4. Feel free to debate, argue, complain, or whatever. ENJOY!

1.) Beer Town Brawlers (12-0-0) - I don't believe any team in BBB #4 can contest the BTB. Their closest win by 4 points 4 weeks ago to the Appalachian Mountaineers seemed like a minor wake up call, that any championship calibur team needs, as they've given up only 7 points since.

2.) Fremont Warriors (12-0-0) - While not as dominant as BTB has been in the Eastern Conference, the Warriors have shown that they are the team to beat in the West, especially after a win against #2 in the West Team MaddenWars in a game that had much hype around it.

3.) Boston DrunkN'Disorderly (12-0-0) - While their name may not bear much resemblence to their play, Boston faces their toughest test of the season against Beer Town next week in the biggest clash of the titans BBB #4 has seen this season. Boston may just have the answer to beat Beer Town in their newly signed QB from Southeast Asia.

4.) Philadelphia Pythons (10-2-0) - Philly seems to be on a roll thanks to an impressive 136 - 6 scoring margin in their last 4 games. Toppling their division foe 30-3, J Villians (#4 in West), in their last game proves the Pythons are poised to make a playoff run. They face a struggling Bowling Green Broncos team next week.

5.) Hobbs Gerbil Wranglers (10-2-0) - The Gerbils seem to be in their wheel and spinning it as fast as they can. A 72 point victory against the former/dismantled L.A. Raiders is impressive but not enough to push them into the top 4. The next 3 weeks may be enough to throw the Gerbils spinning into the abyss come playoff time.

6.) Team MaddenWars (10-2-0) - I know, I know, it was one game BUT it was a HUGE loss. Team MaddenWars proved their offense to be less than effective against a good but not great Freemont defense scoring only 2 field goals while giving up 17 on defense. Look for TMW to get their running game back, and a higher ranking, next week against the Walla Walla Wackers, whos name will only be mentioned that single time in these rankings.

7.) J Villians (9-3-0) - J Villians maintain a 9-3 record after facing the 3 top teams in their conference. What does this mean? They beat the teams they are supposed but don't have enough to get them to the top of the hill. They have a somewhat easy schedule left compared to some of the teams ranked in the top 6 but the Villians need to keep an eye out for some trap games.

8.) Fort Lauderdale Merkins (9-3-0) - Oh the Merkins. Beneficiaries of the schedule? Pure anomalies from the uncertain wasteland that is the BBB? I think maybe both. While the Merkins have managed to maintain a respectable record, they have so in an unorthodox fashion, giving up points frequently and relying on their offense to pull out the W. Let's see if this strategy continues to be effective in the last 4 games of the season as the Merkins have the toughest schedule remaining of any team in the BBB #4.

It's amazing how this game can suck you in to working far harder than you really want to for a game, isn't it? While I won't disagree that we can use objectional rankings, I think they should go side by side with the statistic based rankings. With that said, I think you did a decent job with the top 1/4 of the league.

Now, do you really think that the Beer Town Brawlers vs Boston DrunkN'Disorderly is the biggest clash of the titans BBB#4 has seen this season? I won't disagree, but based on forum activity I'd say that clash happened already with Fremont Warriors coming out on top.

Oh man, that was GREAT! A seriously good read. Regardless whether i disagreed with you or not (and i did on several points) it was still an awesome post that made me laugh more than once. Very entertaining. Could you post one of these after every game day? HAHA

Well considering both teams undefeated and have been dominating teams. I'd say so. I agree the Western conference is alot more vocal but that doesn't mean anything when it comes to game time or playoff time.

Glad you enjoyed it man! Feel free to disagree and do it out in the open. I'll try my best at posting a new one every game day but theres no guarantee. These rankings aren't based on something as simple as plugging numbers into an equation

Struggling? Boy we are not struggling, we just have the hardest freakin schedule when looking at the last 6 weeks of play. We played Boston tight today, and our defense gives up only 15.916 (6 is repeating) points per game on average. Boy we played the two undefeated so far kinda tight (I know 20-0 to the BTB ain't that tight, but it's better than a lot of other teams would have done). Son, it's our SOS that's killing us, that and our back-up QBs have gone inactive. We'll put on a show for Philly next week, and we beating Houston. We just might make a run at Fremont, and the Washington Capitals are so in for some worms in the can brother. Oh boy we making the post-season, and we gonna surprise some people I tell you. Everyone can think we struggling, but that only gives us the trump card of being under the radar in the scouting reports.

Brother have you seen our games from weeks 11-16? I think you need to re-think this statement.

LOL I'd say Bowling Green (which is the team your bitching for) has overalll the toughest second half of the season in the East. Which explains why they were top 4 for a while. They're falling and have either the 2nd or 3rd toughest remaining schedule left. Good luck!

I'm looking forward to our next two games... vs bitching about the toughness of them. Beer Town followed up by the Pythons, bring it on. Tough games are the best... keeps me logged in almost constantly in anticipation.
