In upgrading EQ I'm looking at all angles before purchasing.

He's currently at 111.29 in punting and only 70.23 confidence. I'm thinking of putting all current upgrades into confidence and even possibly rebuild an entire piece. I don't like the concept of split equipment.

Would (for example) it be better to have +5 confidence at the expence of -5 punting worth it? Especially since punting is (and still will be) over 100.

Stats, unlike SAs, donīt have diminished returns over 100. Bort confirmed this. Go with Punting.

At 70.23 you can still 4 point it if you want more. Given the way the VA's are laid out now, I'm putting all my equipment into Punting and VA's into Swagger

Easy rule of thumb: 5th cap punting, 5th cap confidence, all equipment in punting.
