What's a good number for tackling for a DE? Currently, I have 56 in tackling. Do I need it to be higher?

What about tackling for a DT? Should you try to get it to 60 or is 57 enough?

I'm starting to like higher tackling for DT's and plan to work it pretty high on my new (level 1) DT.

Higher tackling = higher tackling radius, which is huge in run stuffing and playing 2 gaps, it also helps with those plays where you miss tackles because you're out of position, but still get the miss because you got your hands on them.

The best I can tell, more tackling does not give you a larger tackling radius.

I wouldn't say it guarantees you a larger radius but with low tackling imo you will not be able to shed and tackle unless the guy is right on top of you.

That's exactly how I look at it I guess radius is a bit misleading. Not necessarily turning your guy into Stretch Armstrong, but a better ability to reach around him when not in perfect position (ie. making one-handed grabs, tackles while still blocked etc.)

for a DT high tackling + str = Tackling style POWER to cause some fumbles.

For a DE, you're never going to be on anything but wrap-up thus much lower tackling needed
