1 - ESL - Time and time again this team wins games late in the 4th quarter, with a missed field goal being the latest lucky draw for this franchise. This team finds ways to win games late(or not lose them) and has made a dynasty out of it. Each season they have to be considered a threat to win the title.

2 - Bandar - Sorry Pelicans, but the Pirates are the true 2nd best team in SE Asia Pro, and at any moment could jump past the Tire Fires. Every season the Pirates have one thing in mind, and that's beat ESL. Until they do that in the post season though, they will remain 2nd. If they put their minds to it, they can beat any other team in the league.

3 - LSP - Ok, anti-Garuda bias aside, if LSP was in Naga they'd still do very well, although they could fall anywhere from 1-6 in Naga. Last season was there best yet, plus they only look to have improved and should learn from a bitter Super Wok loss. The Pelicans are the class of Garuda and it's Super Wok or bust for them.

4 - Singapore - The Marauders have been a very good Naga team for longer than i've been in Pro's. They consistenly are a playoff contender, and can knock off anyone in the league. They have a ridiculous running game, a great QB duo, and one of the leagues best wideouts in Jon Blaze. What's not to like?

5 - Manila - The Hitmen will be a threat as long as they chose to be. They got over the ESL hump last season, throttling the Tire Fires, but need to now focus on Bandar. The Pirates have knocked the Hitmen out the of the playoffs the past two seasons, leaving the Hitmen ready for blood.

6 - Bangkok - The old guard of the league, the Tweety's have been a good team for a very, very long time. They had a bit of a recession, but have come back strong in recent seasons and I wouldn't be surprised to see them competing in the Super Wok once more.

7 - Krungthep Garudas - The only thing keeping this team from a higher ranking is the level difference. They can gameplan as well as anyone in the league, and have among the best builds. The Garudas are a very dangerous team plagued only with the curse of choosing the wrong name. A name change would win them enough karma for a Super Wok run imo.

8 - Semarang - I don't know a whole lot about them, but you can't argue with how they fared vs LSP in the conference championship. Will be very interested to see how these guys do this season.

9 - Pa Dong Dragons - They've tried everything, and just can't get a trophy. They are a good team, but can just never get it together when it counts. If they ever do get hot at the right time though, watch out.

10 - Duluth Bulldogs - I believe if the Bulldogs were in garuda they'd be a home playoff team most seasons. Unfortunately for them, they are in Naga, and have struggled to make the playoffs in the Pros. Don't sleep on them though, they can take down the elite teams.

who would you replace with who? swap bandar and lsp? replace duluth with the flames or bats? I can see arguments for either of those, altho i dont agree I can see an argument for Semarang being higher but I'd like to see them do it for than one season so they possibly could be 7, but thats the beauty of that, those two teams play week 1 what would your 1-10 be?

Nice write-up as always HB! I'm not particularly sold on bandar being better than us, but ya'll have actually played both of our teams when it counted, so I'll trust your judgement.... Gotta say though, I was hoping to see you categorize it similar to what Creeker did with his reviews, because I think there is a HUGE decline from the #3 to the #4 spot.......wait for it.....wait for it..............

I would however, have to put Semarang above the Tweetys, just off of the "what have you done for me lately" rule, and Semarang just absolutely DESTROYED teams in the playoffs, with a SIM that was not very friendly to their offensive scheme. Plus, we got the Tweety's Best DE in the offseason However, I would rank BOTH of those teams above Manilla, just on the fact tha Manilla has really struggled since coming up to the pro's(including playoffs has been 39-15 over the last 3 seasons)

Yeah, the Red Bulls should be a lot higher than 8. If they're anything like they were last season, they should give LSP a run for their money.

And the Flames should be at 10 instead of Duluth.

Semerang is at 5 or 6 on that list.

Let's not here this BS about the sim not being friendly to their O. Just because majority of teams ran the ball doesn't mean passing didn't work.

The Tweety's fell off the map last season and if they are still a top 10 team they are close to the bottom.

I'm curious to see what the Tweetys did in the offseason.

I think some are not giving the Tweetys the respect they deserve. Unless the fell asleep in the offseason, the Tweetys will be no joke in season 9.

Overall it's going to be a tough season, as I expect some newer PRO teams have made adjustments and can be very dangerous.

Teams like Bali Waves, and Bangkok Lightening are good examples.

Of course teams like the Bats and Flames were already good last season, and I expect them to have made improvements as well.

Should be a fun

Hell yeah....No gutted teams in Garuda this season, the level of competition should be WAY up....gonna be a blast to see how the standings are looking by week 4.

You're telling me you're not going to complain about not having to game plan?

Or did the Hong Kong Hustlers teach you a lesson?

The double negative really confused me......but....no.....we won't complain about not having to gameplan. We haven't gameplanned since season 2, so why start now?
