Warrior General Games

I am interested in knowing how each team made it to this League. I am sure some of you started in WEPL which is fine because hey you are still here. I know I could research every team but it is too time consuming.

We started in WEA6 in season 3 and worked our way up.

We started in WE AA#4 (Zeta) back in season 2 and won the league with a perfect 20-0 record (beating London Rippers twice that season )

We knocked about in the AAA#2 (Zeta) league for a few seasons before getting promoted a couple of seasons ago with a 19-1 record taking the league championship on the way to the Pro's.

20-0 is impressive and tough to do. We thought we were going to do it twice but fell short both times. Thanks to Global Gym and the Tilburg Lightning.

We should have gone 20-0 two seasons ago but slipped up against a team that missed the playoffs. We were down by 1 point and just outside field goal range but failed to complete any pass attempts to set us up for a game winning FG

I shouldn't moan, we won when it counted and have 2 gold trophies to show for it

I agree. The trophy is what matters. We have got at least a silver 3 straight seasons but it looks like that streak is coming to an end this season. It is odd having a schedule full of teams that you have never seen before. In every other league we have been in there has been at least a couple of teams we had played before and knew a lot about. We have to start from scratch this season.

We basically backed into this league...no great story. If WE PRO was a game of Dodge Ball, we were picked last. That being said, we've managed to rack up a win or two against some of the teams up here in the past, so we should able to hold our own.

Can't deny it .....the only two games we lost that season. The season before that we lost two games, both to Korb and they went on to win the AAA Championship and move to the pros. Those were seasons two and three I believe......Antwerp finally made it winning the championship game in season 5.

Originally known as the Utrecht Pumas, I bought the team after they had played one game in Season 1. We've been the Bonn Dynamo since 10pm Saturday, March 29, 2008. Also, WEAA1 was known as Western Europe A in season 1, it was renamed WEAA1 in season 2 after league expansion.

After season 5, Bort reopened league swapping and we took the opportunity to swap with a team in WEAAA1 (and that almost fell through, Bort had to sort out our swap since it was missed initially)

After season 7, we backfilled an empty spot in WEPL due to sold back teams.

Season 8 [WEPL]: 13-3, 3rd seed, lost to Turin THUNDER in 2nd round (14-27) http://goallineblitz.com/game/game.pl?game_id=470317

So, in our existence, we're 102-18 in the regular season, 7-8 in the playoffs and 109-26 overall.

Ours is a bit outdated but I think it is well done. I like the Hall of fame part of it.

Every team in Zeta has been promoted from AAA at some point.

That is true, we were 61 - 3 in AAA regular season games between seasons 2 - 5 and 9 - 3 in playoff games before coming up to WEPL. In season 1 we were 6 -2 regular season and 3 -1 in the playoffs losing in the Championship game in over time by a FG>
