Is it worth it? Going from 68 to 74 costs 24 SP.
Assuming your equipment is all speed based at 48, +28 speed.
Custom EQ = +6 speed
Track Star 15 VA = +15% speed = 10.2 or 11.1
Play hard = +20% on gameday = 13.6 or 14.8

68 base = 125.8 speed
74 base = 133.9 speed

So is it worth it. How much of this speed is being wasted? IE are speeds over 100 really accounted for by the game engine?

And the other drawback is that if you spend all your equipment on speed, then your AGI is going to be only half as much. Hmm.

Its worth it. There are no diminishing returns on attributes. Also I wouldnt figure in 15% from track star since they will most likely be nerfed

is it worth it? do you want your WR to be able to do anything besides run fast? maybe it's ok if you don't mind finally rounding out that build a few seasons from now.

If Bort ever makes receiver leading worth half a shit, yes, your extra speed would be nice.

Everyone "plays hard" so you really can't factor in that.
Track star is also getting nerfed.

I would think that having higher speed is now more beneficial that trackstar is getting nerfed. What are others thoughts?

agree. I think alot of builds relied on VAs to bring their speed up to par. and now without VAs only those with high natural speed will be the true speedsters

To be honest I think speed is *slightly* less beneficial after this upcoming nerf. The reason?...Everyone got track star, so everyone got the +15% bonus, so the higher your base speed was, the more benefit you gained from track star.

Bort has said it. No diminishing returns on attributes, just on SA's over 10

Lets say I have 106 speed without VAs. With it I have 116. The defender has 94 speed without VAs. With VAs the defender has 103. So whats a bigger benefit to the offensive player, 116 to 103 or 106 to 94? I'd think the latter is more beneficial.

Another thought, if your WR has brought his raw speed to 74 (5 cap) and has raw agi at 68 (4 cap), should he consider swapping out one piece of +7 speed equipment for a +7 agi equipment?

I doubted, tbh.

Hard is +10%, not 20.

The reason folks say that attributes have diminishing returns is simple....skill point wise they do.

Let's say I have 30 speed and I add 5 pts. That costs me 5 SP for a 16% increase. 3.2% increase per skill point.

Now, let's say I have 68 speed and I add 5 pts. That costs me 24 SP for a 7% increase. 0.3% increase per skill point!

Ouch! Look at those diminishing returns!
