Since Miami lost last game. There is a tie for first again. Miami owns the tiebreaker on Cleveland. I am not sure why Las Vegas is listed above Cleveland because I don't understand exactly what the system is using to determine tie breakers. Anyway, todays game will be very important. Let's get to the predictions.

Miami Brawlers(10-1) vs St. Louis Assassins(6-5) 42-0 (correct 58-0)
We know now that Miami is beatable. But not by St. Louis. They may score on them but not much if they do.

Las Vegas Flyin' Elvis(10-1) vs Cleveland Gladiators(10-1) 15-17 (correct 3-14)
Las Vegas is on a 10 game winning streak. Their only loss coming from their first game. They proved they can win the big game last week. Cleveland hopes to slow down their vaunted running attack even though it is rumored that their Defensive Cooridinator is out of town. This is the classic battle between a heavy one-sided attack(running of Las Vegas) to the balanced jack-of-all-trades attack of the other. Cleveland wins a close one here.

Chocolate City Cha Chings(9-2) vs College Station Stallions(1-10) 44-0 (correct 27-3)
Another tuneup game for CCCC. They are heavily favored in the next few games before they hit the second rough stretch of their schedule. They are hoping their chemistry improves by then.

Georgia Storm(8-3) vs New Jersey Revolution(6-5) 33-6 (correct 24-16)
Georgia is also in an easier part of their schedule having already played Cleveland, Las Vegas and Miami. They still have to face CCCC later in the year but for now should put up some easy victories.

Chicago Storm(6-5) vs Virginia Hustlers(3-8) 27-15 (correct 26-3)
Since winning their first three games, Chicago hasn't been able to put two wins together. They have a good shot at doing just that if they can put Virginia away early and stay on top of the lead.

North Carolina Nudists(6-5) vs Chicago Commandos(1-10) 44-0 (correct 62-0)
The Nudists are sitting in contention for the playoffs. Three of their last five games should be easy wins for them so I see them getting there.

Bud Dry Beer Barons(4-7) vs Liberty City Convicts(2-9) 34-12 (correct 22-13)
The Beer Barons should get another win against the Convicts. They haven't done well on either side of the ball all year. They are pretty much out of contention for the playoffs so can concentrate on rebuilding this year.

Milwaukee Beers(4-7) vs Nashville Crushers(2-9) 17-21 (incorrect 35-17)
The Crushers pull off an upset win this week. I wanted to get a bit risky with my last pick. Spices things up alittle.

Last Week 5-3
Season 69-19

Wow. I thought going 5-1 with 4 wins in a row you'd call a closer game for the Revolution. Here's to proving the cynics wrong.

Vegas is going to beat Cleveland. They are the best team in the Conference. Period.

Brawlers > St. Louis - Miami takes out their frustrations on the Assassins. Showcases new additions to their team.

Vegas > Cleveland - Should be a good game, could be a close game - but the O-line of the Elvi is too much for any team to handle. Las Vegas wins.

Quad-C > College Station

GA Storm > Revolution - Revolution's been on a roll, but that comes to an end against one of the top teams in the conference.

Chi Storm > Hustlers

Nudists > Commandos (blow out)

Barons > Convicts

Beers > Crushers

I would strongly argue that Elvis is the best team in the conference. Right now it is up to anyone to take control. Elvis exposed a major weakness to the Brawlers, let's see if they have adjusted. Elvis is very one-sided right now, will that come back to bite them? We will see.

I am not sure exactly what you are saying here, it looks like you typed something out and then semi-edited it. I assume you mean that you would argue against them being the best team in the conference since I am already arguing that they are.

It was no secret that they are one-dimensional on offense. I assume you adjusted your defense accordingly - you knew they were going to run, you loaded up to stop them, and they ran anyway.

What does that mean?

They didn't get 400+ yards rushing on you, but I wouldn't have expected them to. They got what they needed and a little bit extra.

I hope that someone can beat them, but I won't be hoping it's you...

We can agree to disagree. I read back what I wrote before and it made sense to me, don't know what I am missing, however to get back to your point. Yes, they beat us. Yes, we knew they were running the ball, hence the "exposed a major weakness Brawlers had". If luck has it we will see them in the playoffs. We will then see if we can beat them or not.

The way I read your intial post (and the way I have read it several times since) is that the Elvi exposed (showed) a weakness to you, not as you restated that one of your weaknesses was exposed by the Elvi.

I am not on either team, so I don't really have a dog in this fight (that's for you SmokeATL) but, looking up and down the rosters, I don't see a team I am convinced can beat the Elvi this season.

Time will tell.

By the way, when I said I hope someone beats them - I was referring to the Cha Chings.

You were saying??? Good game, I think the top 6 teams can probably go anyway on any given day.

You were right blazer11213, the game was much closer than I had said it was going to be. You played a tough game against them.

And Saint615, we beat them. Enough said. Those guys are the first team to sack our QB this year. They deserve congratulations on that. Like psyborg said, when the top teams play each other, it could go either way. Look forward to seeing them in the playoffs.
