8 in kicking, punting and throwing.

you want 18 or 19 speed. Maybe more if it's possible. And nobody better bring up the wiki and say you can't get more, blah blah because you can.

You have two choices you can be a big guy 6'3 6'4 and be lighter.

or you can be a big heavy guy like 6'4 225. And be a very hard hitter.

The 8s are the most important part. Safeties need so many attributes, that as long as you have something useful in the 18+ range, you should be fine.

Ok so Iv never build a SS before so let me lay out my general plan and you guys can critique it. I am slowbuilding for a season and aiming to get in a 13 capped league for his 3rd season. I am going for a hard hitting guy. Effective in run game, lots of FF

1. Speed to 48 at level 3
2. Speed to 60 at level 7
3. Agility to 48 by level 11
4. Agility to 61 by level 15
5. Vision to 48
6. Speed to 68
7. Agility to 68

so after this...would I take vision to the next level? strength to 48? Should the strength cap be done before? Should strength go to 60?

Sounds like a good plan. personally I go 68/68 speed and agility. But it sounds like you want to be competitive sooner rather than later.

if you go speed/agility to 61, then str to 49 and then vision to 49, you will be competitive rather quickly.

If you were to go long term, I would suggest 68/68 speed and agility, then 61 str. Don't even worry about vision till after all that's accomplished. Once they are accomplished hit vision up to 50+. You would suck with low vision for a while but it's worth it in the long run.

This is just how I personally approach a S.S. I like mine to be hard hitters, that can do everything. Rather than finesse pansies, who can only cover the Pass with like 70+ vision.

i'm no slowbuilding expert but if you go to a 68spd/68agi then go straight to 61str; wounldnt that mean that you are missing out on some early ideal intense training combos?

you could use a agi/vision combo at some point. str doesn't really have any ideal intense training combos other than maybe tackling and that is a bit iffy considering you'd be wanting to train vision following str.

unless of course you ignore intense training altogether which a lot of people do. i'm not sure what is better.

Id seriously consider going Strength -> Speed - Agility on a SS for that very reason. Ignoring Intense training beyond your first attribute is a terrible decision you lose a ton of SPs that way. I usually train whatever I plan on capping first on normal until its either capped or I have banked about 10-12 Shopping tokens.

speed/agility to 28... switch to str/tackling till 28
switch to vision/jumping till 28.

http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=1075435 _bringing his str up to 61 after agility hits 68. Been training vision and confidence, and stamina and confidence here and there, too. But mostly Str and tackling till 28 right now.

I just started building my first SS, season 8 the SS on my peewee team, lead in tackles and was in on about every play, he had his strength caped first, now once I am reading on builds, its all speed and agility, is there any other strength SS builds out there? On a pee wee now, not a slow builder but do want to make a good one to stick with, so its cap speed, then agility, train str /tac, then a few training s on vis /confidence to have a good player in the playoffs? and a decent build to move on with?

edit I haven't added any of my skill points yet, been training speed/agility, would it hurt me in the long run if i caped strength first, then speed, then agility, then speed /agility to 2nd cap next season before strength?

No it won't hurt you in the long run. I did that with my high level SS and he is a beast. The only down sides is. You won't get level gains on speed and agility, and you will suck for a long time.

get speed and agility up to 61 or 68 first, then instead of moving over to vision like most guys do, move to str. If I could start my guy over I would have done it this way.

My guy has high speed and agility. If I had worked on them first he would be even more fast and agile, but probably less strong.

Most guys say to get vision into 60+ my S.S's vision is 55, at this point I don't see any reason to raise it.
