It's gonna be a hell of a finish, however it turns out. I'm predicting Big Money to squeak by Phoenix, and the Beasters over the Empire by a little bigger margin to make it to the big show.

that game is gonna be a great one. Both teams are tough as hell. I gotta give Big Money the edge, bein from the west and all. No Offense, Beasters. I've played them enough times to know how tough they are, and haven't played you. This means my prediction, 49-37 BMD, will probably be way off.

Don't you know that if you are trying to exploit a bug, you have to go 100% run inside instead of 85%? Serves you guys right for trying to beat us by cheating.

I'm the D coordinator for the Scorps, so I don't know too much about offensive gameplanning but we were discussing before the game that we needed to change up our gameplans from the previous matchup. We wanted to run a ball control offense to sustain long drives and keep the clock running to shorten the game, and hopefully a turnover or two would decide the game in our favor.

How the hell is that considered cheating? I Really don't appreciate the accusation...

Sorry if it is not true...

but just looking at the facts...

Bort posted that the inside run was buggy. And guess what? That was the second game today that I have watched where the offense ran it inside 90% or more. Coincidence? If it is, then I'm sorry... but if it isn't, then it serves you right.

I won't go into that myself, but I will say, kbh, that was a damn fine job you did coordinating that defense. Been a while since Kick Magnet had to drill that many field goals. Tip of the cap and all that.

What facts? Silly. I went and looked at their first two series. 5 of the 17 plays were the HB strong I slam that is considered "buggy". I've read about it too. Single back inside runs aren't in the same category for bugginess. those, if successfull, are because of a good back and good line.

I stopped lookin after that. unless somethin drastic changed later in the game, an accusation of 85 percent is a bit hight. about 50 percent high. they were obviously not runnin it every down, and in the second series, only ran the slam once.

The scorps played well this season, and don't deserve an accusation like this. it might not hurt to apologize to them without a conditional.

edit: you know, I think I know JUST the play to run at you guys in our final scrimmage.... no offense was intended, KRack. I just dont like to see good folks accused of things.

Jack, you know I have nothing but respect for your opinion... so I'm going to do as you suggested and apologize.

Phoenix, I'm sorry for any accusation. Maybe it was premature or inflated.

In my defense, I'm not the only one to notice this. I'm not going to go back and count plays or anything, but I can say that there were times when it seemed like they just ran, ran, ran from the Str I or singleback straight up the middle. After seeing another undefeated team that I am on go down to this very same tactic, it was easy to notice when the same trend started popping up. Maybe I was just looking for it, who knows. Either way, I didn't want this to elevate into some kind of argument or heated discussion. Like I said in my previous post, if it was a coincidence, then I am truly sorry for any accusations. I could go and post some evidence in my favor, but in the interest of having this post die, I'd rather just leave it alone. Phoenix, you played a very good game, and my post earlier was retarded.

I'm not going to dwell on it either, but after you apologized, you basically stated that you still believe we tried to exploit a glitch. Look back at our team all season, we tried to be a power running team up the middle and control the clock. I'm not sure when Bort stated there was a glitch, but this has been our gameplan all season. Last season we ran to the outside a lot more, and broke off some big runs but we didn't control the clock and our D suffered because of that. Our O coordinator from last year left and we hired our new guy last offseason, and we decided this was the offensive identity we wanted. And besides, If we were trying to cheat, we wouldn't have passed more than we ran for the game...

That being said if you are offering a sincere apology, I definitely accept.

see, we can get along.

I liked runnin it alot this season too, to control the clock. plus my receivers suxxor. I had no idea at the beginning of the season that there was an "exploit", sorta like the off tackle run a season or two back. I've been runnin the HB slam since season 5, on various teams. I really didnt see it doing any better than the blast or some of the pitches.

anyway...

it's the game that has the problems, not the people. that's my major point. if somethin is workin, and a person doesnt go lookin at developer posts, aint no reason to think it's a glitch. could just be good builds or the wrong D against that play. unless they see it written by bort that there's a glitch... but then... are we all supposed to stop usin it? they could take the play out of the Sim, if it's overpowering. I have a player on a team who lost the conference final to a team that, if they ran it, it was almost all the power I slam. they also stripped the ball from our halfback 8 times. it'd be easy to say they exploited the Slam play, but losin 4 of those 8 fumbles probably had a bigger impact on us losin.

yeah i went back and took a closer look and while almost all of our runs were up the middle, they were out of a few different formations, and we were just as successful out running out of all the other formations as we were the strong I.

And I agree if it were such a glitch and an advantage, why wouldn't Bort just take the damn play out of the game...
