Next season could be the first season where most of the new call ups find it hard to make the playoffs.

In previous seasons, there was a large divide between the top playoff teams and the bottom ones. The 7 and 8 seed were really only getting playoff spots because there weren't 8 really good teams.

This season 6 of the 9 new teams made the playoffs, but only 1 advanced to the second round.

There were legitimate good teams that missed.

So where does that leave the new teams coming up?

Something to think about in a few days when we find out which teams are coming.

This might also be the first season that we haven't had an inseason gut too. With the Flyin' E's being the only team to announce that they'll be folding, there might only be 5-6 teams coming up next season.

idk, I think new teams still make it in the playoffs. The real question is who will be dropping out of the playoffs next season.

Just because no one's said it yet.

It's East's fault.

Aside from Alpine...I really dont see the new teams as being much better than any of the mid tier USA teams. I think it will be a tough season for the up and comers.

With sim changes, a lot could change in the order of power. We never know what the GLB flavor of the week (season) will be.

Groundpounders are tough too, and San Diego has shown a willingness to compete... hard to say how things will shake out. There will definitely be some disappointed teams, the only question is: who?

a lot of upsets in USA AAA2 West yesterday. Main 'favorite' left is the Pounders. If someone else promotes, it will be brutal on them.

That team is HHW version 2.0

It's a one man team but instead of being rushing based, they pass.

A team I'm very familiar with since we both started in USA A7 eons ago. I wasn't the owner of Spicewood back then, I was GM of another team at the time - but we expected him to make it to the Pros in no time. He was just killing everybody (except the shockers) until AI came along, and since then he's struggled to come to grips with it. Fanatics is a class act though and a smart guy. He'd be a good addition to USA Pro

He's got the one passing offense that my best schemes still struggle to stop.

My bet is NY-CA out of the West and Alpine out of the East, at which point islander is ocing one team and dcing another in the same conference (rofllolmfaomuahahaha) with the Fins or Royals getting another moveup if it comes from AAA2. We'll get a third team from either AAA2 or AAA1 to replace LFVE, but I think everybody who is gutting besides them already is in the bottom 2 of their conference.
