Hey. Want to ask what everyone tinks of the benefit of taking catching to the third cap. My level 33 WR currently has following natural attributes:

Speed: 71
Agility: 68
Catchig: 61
Jumping: 49

What I'm wondering, is whether or not it would be more beneficial to take catching to the next cap, put more points into speed/agility, or save the points to increase one of the lower attributes like vision. Right now I'm torn between the first two, as vision/confidence/carrying/etc are all still very beneficial to train. What I've achieved now was my initial build plan, but I'm sort of stuck. I keep thinking it would be more realistic to up catching, but I also feel maybe more speed and agility would have a greater effect. What do you guys think?

Get your natural level + eq to 90 speed then come back and get 68 catching. You do have to understand that it will be maddening because when you are that good at catching stupid shit like this counts as a drop:

By natural level + equipment to 90 speed do you mean to go only to 90? Because with equipment right now, Speed = 94. I also have 10 in Track Star, which is another 7.1 to add on.

No, over is fine, 71 is just to low if that was your total. Keep doing what your doing, you are better off than I thought. FYI, getting vision, confidence, carrying, strength up may help more than the extra 8 catching, but your still low level so get the catching up and train the rest until you have the skill points to pop em up to the cap.

I would go with catching, and I would start working on your vision now. With the leading the WR update that's incoming next year, vision and catching are going to be much more important. Catching the ball is one thing, but catching the ball in stride is going to be what separates the meh WRs and the good/great ones.

I don't really feel like going into why, but yes catching is very good stuff and you can't go wrong with 3rd-capping it my friend.

I'd say 3-cap catching and train some combination of vision/confidence/carrying. When your done with that I'd recommend to starting SAing up, though you could also consider 2nd-capping jumping or perhaps 4-capping speed agility if your heart is that set on it.

IMO your likely to get a bigger speed/agility boost from 9 points of route run (25 SP) then you are from +6 combined speed/agility (24 SP). Some peeps love quick cut, some love first step, some love route run, some love sticky hands, and 1 handed catch has recently caught my eye (though nothing conclusive).

Fwiw.

BTW, any chance your WR can fake his own death so I can recruit him? lol.

Alright, cheers for the advice guys. I've sort of got a plan for what I'm going to do. Going to 4-cap speed, 4-cap agility, 3-cap catching, then soft cap vision. That should take me until level 43 or 44 I think, then I'll start to work on a couple of SA's. Sound like a good plan?

I wouldn't. But you didn't even mention softcapping it, that's what I would do.

As close as you are, I'd just assume reach the 4th cap in speed. My friend's level 12 WR has the same natural speed level as your WR.

Seeing as you've only managed 3 drops this last season, using 18 or so SPs (taking into account the level increments) to get 3 catches more per season, assuming this was an "average" season, seems almost wasteful. Personally, I'd stick with either 4th capping speed or going with SAs (Quick Cut, First Step...heck, throw in Head Fake and Spin while you're at it. Seeing as you've got an interest in boosting catching, Sticky Hands may be an even better alternative at this point than catching levels?)
