In the EAST
Tough loss for Michigan. They were in the game. But being in the game isn't enough, you have to get those handful of key plays to go your way. But they continue to do better than I think they will. Next week is their last chance to pull out a win against one of the big 4 and show that their win against us wasn't a fluke.
New Hampshire continues to build momentum with a solid win. And with Michigan's loss, they move into 5th in the east.
Gulf State finally stops under performing for their talent. Either that or all of those slow growing CPUs are finally starting to catch up with Akron.
Akron finally looks like a team with lots of CPUs, and it may be downhill from here for them.
All at 5-6, it will be a real battle down the stretch between Akron, Miami Makos, and Vice City for the 8th playoff spot. All have similar schedules.
Miami Hammerheads are a game up from that pack in #7, but they have a much tougher schedule down the stretch and could easily fall out of the post season. Next game with Miami Makos will be huge for both teams. If the Hammerheads lose to Makos, they are in trouble because it just gets worse with New Hamphire, New Brunswick, and Chicago Maroons from the West.
NY and NB cruise. Yawn.
Chicago finally puts up that "what what?" big score and shows that, yes, they are that good. They get a nice workout next week against a tough NH team before starting the gauntlet against what are the other 4 best teams in BBB #15.
Out WEST
Rushmore enters the land of the 2 loss teams. No longer in the conversation...
Chicago, great win! 7-4, and edging up to, but not quite in, the conversation. (see Michigan)
Caprica! Where you been? Is this team for real? We'll know next week when they play...
Wala Wala. Rolls past a good SF team. yawn.
Lima has a solid, but unspectacular, dare I say unchampionship like, win.
Midwest and Las Colinas 10-6?? Huh.
