After a wonderful run and some trophy winning seasons, I am announcing that the LVFE ownership will not encourage further GLB support. Game is no longer football....it's a wish in one hand and shit in the other at best.

For the past 6 seasons, Elvis has fielded an honest team...however, the downright shitty changes made to the game have done nothing but cater the game to a few specific team owners or build types. Please understand that this is not football and shouldn't be passed off as such. It is time you create the GLB RIP OFF REPORT on the main forum and call the game what it is.

As an owner, I am no longer interested in supporting this game nor its owners - in pumping $50 per player per year into a game that favors 1-2 builds and which was sold as a 'realistic' football sim.

Bort, your game has great potential....but the idea that you pretend to know nothing about the game experience yourself is poor management of the game and management has absolutely failed. It has become nothing but a fleecing of user funds, so 1-2 build types can enjoy the game. I will say that the game is even worse now than before season 7 and as an owner, I will not support something that is downright misleading and unethical - especially when real $$$ is involved.

I want to express my appreciation to all those who have supported our club and to the high level of competition - good luck to you all in GLB....but better luck to you in real life!

Flex points sales have to have dropped off, a lot of players are just retiring players and living off of that. I can probably go 3-4 years off of what I already spent (if it lasts that long, before Bort runs out of money to pay the bills). Oh well.

Can you at least wait until the end of the season? It's really unfair to the rest of the league to gut mid-season.

Hate to see you go. I don't really agree with giving up, it shows a lack of patience imo, but I understand your frustrations. I just tend to believe that things will get better rather than worse and am willing to put up with a season or two of non-football type sims.

That being said, I'm also no longer buying any more flex and am just retiring players to fund current ones and will continue to do so until I see the game where I want it to be. That doesn't mean I'm going to quit though, I like the game and the other agents/owners too much to do so.

Gah first one to go.

I have to think that the player's leaving is normal, the issue is the drop in marketing. I mean when GLB really grew, it was because people had their referrals spammed at just about every popular forum/football site. From there coworkers and friends were drawn into the mix.

Now there's not much "free" marketing that's done for Bort. I think he'd be smart to start bringing new faces into the community asap. He can't live without a solid flex stream, and as tom stated, most of us will just cut our total players by 70%.

Yep. I've been living off player retirement for two seasons now, should be able to make it two more. Not dropping another dime until the sim is improved. I'm all in favor of being part of a "beta" and I'm even willing to drop some money doing it. I just dont think it's heading in the right direction.

Anyway, sorry to see you guys go. GL...

Please don't gut. The East is already loltastic enough. Besides, it wouldn't be fair to the opponents you guys beat still trying to make the prayoffs

I can't blame him at all. He has no power running game...so what the hell are you supposed to do when you can't stop it but you can't repeat what everyone else is doing? It costs about $200 to boost a team, hard to justify putting up with a couple of seasons of crappy sim for that much money.

That being said, it would be ideal if he rode it out to the end.

I am in the same boat as hazy. I stopped buying flex three seasons ago before we even made it to the pros and just retire a few guys every season to keep playing.

Why are WRs even boosting anymore? To just pump up blocking?

Before the trolls get to this..

Sorry to see you go, you're a good team. I definitely feel for you though, having built your team around a West Coast style offense with Season 8's sim.

I had to release a WR I brought in specifically to boost our passing game. The poor bastard had a couple of catchs through 6 games. He opted to move down to a lower league where his higher level would help him overcome the crappy passing sim.

I lost $2.4M I gave him for level 48 equip, but I didn't feel right making him play out the season under the current conditions when he could still get enjoyment out of his player elsewhere.

It won't surprise me if Pain ends up bringing back more of his own WRs here down the line :/
