have not made up my mind yet.

Everyone in the game has maxed out quick/track star etc... This really does nothing to change the randomness of the sims. Where if everyone was 'forced' to load up on the kooky VAs that trigger on 3/4 down, 4th quarter, tipped passes, etc... it might make for more 'realistic' games with more random events.

The only thing that really sucks is that some people have forgone adding to their core stats because they could make it up with VA points. They get hit pretty hard with a nerf.

I think that Bort needs to hire someone who's good at developing individual character stuff for the game.

His implementation of team-based concepts has been ok (like the AI and playbooks. Ya, there's issues, but it's not utterly borked). His implementation of individual character based stuff has been tragic:
1) Advanced equipment, especially the original store
2) Bonus tokes and the "how many can you store" shuffle dance
3) Veteran Abilities and the attribute boosters
4) Endorsements

Every single one has needed serious revamping.

I like getting rid of the attribute raisers. VAs were supposed to be "fun" and if left to min/maxers they inevitably just go to attribs.. boring.

Game needs to get some of that Fun back imo. VAs and SAs should add some flavor, not more of the same

while i feel the implementation of all this stuff was suspect...the overall design of all of it is just fine to me...it adds to the game in a nice way. People just want everything to go their way all the time and that just doesnt and shouldnt happen.

Eh, Bhall, we'll just have to disagree. The randomness of the Adv Equip store is laughable. Attribute boosters (or the balance between various VAs) is laughable. Endorsements were a complete, flaming disaster.

Bort doesn't design the individual stuff well imo.

I don't care either way.

I don't see how VA's cover for poor building because if someone has a better build their 5% will still give them a higher attribute than the poorly built one.

I really liked the original VA idea but with their being no concrete evidence on how the %'s work it's unjustifiable to use them.

i agree completely. there are a few VA's i'd love to invest in, but they just arent worth it with the stat boosters, and pretty much 99% of GLB feels that way. lame.

and i agree with bhall, you're a whiny bitch kurieg. the randomness of the aeq store adds to the randomness of the game, which the game needs. there's so much complaining about cookie cutter builds in this game, and when something actually does work against that, people bitch.

I guess I like the randomness of the store...i like the luck factor of raising skills.

I dont think Attribute boosters are laughable...in fact they help out with the crazy ways this sim changes season after season. People are going to cry either way...either they cry because the new sim made their build shit or they cry because people are able to fix their builds through attribute boosters...sure people are crying over the use of track star and quick...but in my opinion thats just what it is...crying...and over spilled milk.

As far as the Endorsements go...they were a disaster to start...but i dont think they were or still are game changing.

Not really sure about that. Having someone load up on say 3rd and 4th downs, and giving them almost perfect results isn't thatrealistic. I think taking away the attribute boosters is fine with me.

you dont understand the use....

Using VA's...a LB can allocate his speed equip over to tackling or strength and use the VA's to put his speed right back where it was. Thats a good use for it. So in the end...the power back didnt get better than that LB because he can only gain so much power from it.

I understand it just fine but you don't understand the difference.

A level 48LB has 34 equipment points.

Let's say a this LB has a natural 60 speed and 40 tackling. With Va's and equipment he now has 94 (equipment) speed and 46 (VA's) tackling.

His tackling is obviously still too low. Let's say you put 20 equipment into tackling--now he has 60. Speed is now at 60+remaining equipment+VA's.

60+14+9

Speed is at 83.

83 is considerably lower than when he had 94+9 = 103.

Well I want it to happen just cause I like the idea, but I've never whined about it. It's just an opinion. So check yourselves, your opinion isnit any more valid than anyone else's. But go ahead and be Rush Limbaugh about it

Maybe someone should draw some Venn diagrams to help illustrate your poor reasoning
