I was initially told Confidence is far more important to QBs than Strength, but want a 2nd opinion.

My plan:

Throwing - 3rd capped
Vision - 2nd capped
I'm not sure if I should do strength or confidence next.

I would have said strength, but with the new collapsing pocket addition to the sim, confidence seems a little bit more important, as it helps to throw a good pass under pressure.

In one of the test blog posts Bort stated as a pass nears it's max length, the greater the likelihood of it being of poor quality increases. What he didn't clarify is if max length is dependent on Strength, or if it's consistent for all QBs (set at, say, 60 yds).

My guess:

50 strength =
QB-----------------------------X(Whatever the Max distance is for 50 Strength)
And the throw=
QB-------------------------X--
The chance of it being of poor quality is much greater than if:
QB-------------X--------------

So in otherwords, stuff that is +%Pass Distance doesn't just increase your max distance, but also the quality of all your medium/long distance throws.

I suppose that would depend on how it's applied in the formula. If it's applied after the pass quality is determined, then maybe not. You may just be able to throw crappy ball longer. Who knows how things are done around here....

Its not that easy. My QB has always had a great OLine blocking for him, and he doesnt get hurried very often. At the same time my QB throws deep a lot and sometimes the receiver burns his man but has to slow down to catch the short pass. My Confidence is around 60 and strength around 66. You saying i should still keep pumping confidence, even though my completion % is about 80???

kingofgod is being sarcastic, look at his QB's open build.

I don't think confidence helps with pocket presence as much as the "Pocket Presence" ability does...

High confidence + a few great passes early in a game will turn you into a beast for the rest of that game. I would keep confidence and strength equal though imo
