So, we haven't had this conversation in a while. What's everyone's opinion regarding the importance of vision for HB's, both power and elusive. What's the minimum required for both these types to be effective?

Do we really need to have this discussion every few weeks?

Hey, I looked all through the posts on the first page and didn't see it. Some of us just come in here for advice once in a while, rather than setting up a permanent camp. If you don't like a thread, ignore it.

. Which would imply that you've read threads regarding vision here previously.

Yeah, last season. Now that super elusive has been added, I was just wondering if the high vision backs are noticing more success than their lower vision counterparts when running on elusive, or super elusive.

Vision works out pretty well for RBs that run on Elusive/Super Elusive, but other than that, it doesn't really seem to be worth getting it too high.

So my 48 vision is probably good enough to run at +25?

I would think so. My HBs all run on 99 or 100 with just 30 vision.

I intentionally keep my power back's vision low. Don't want any hesitation. Having no hesitation on 100% of my short yardage plays is worth maybe having a few lame tackles from the side in the open field because I didn't cut left or right.

Yeah, definitely.

And if you haven't tried running on 99, i would recommend it. I haven't really been able to run on Super Elusive, but I find Elusive running as a whole, to be much improved.

the idiotic thing is high vision should mean less hesitation.

IRL, RBs that see the field more clearly know where to cut ahead of time and do it with less hesitation. RBs with low vision that need to take more time mentally to examine the field naturally hesitate more.

if what you're describing is true in GLB, then it's working the completely wrong way. but that wouldn't surprise me at all.

I think he's confusing hesitation with the desire to change direction. If your RB sees a hole, but doesn't have the agility to get there, he will stutter step and appear to hesitate. If he never sees the hole, he just keeps chugging away forward.

I'd say the "hesitation" he is talking about is a product of low agility coupled with high vision. The RB's eyes saying "go here" and his feet saying "lol no thanks"
