Just wondering because I started a slow build project a couple seasons ago and am going to be finishing up on my second attribute (agility). I'd like some input from you guys, what do you think a good slow built level 40 could/should have attribute-wise?

Keep in mind this is a pure KR/PR that will see no time at CB, so brainstorm accordingly.

most people will probably tell you the most important atts. are speed, agility and vision. in that order. and to run on elusive.

me personally, i believe the most important atts. are speed, strength, and agility. and i run my guy on balanced.

here are some highlights.

ok, explain why the strength is helping you? You are not breaking tackles, you are using speed and agility to run around people.

Seems the strength is wasted imo, if you are only building to KR/PR.

Personally, for pure KR/PR, and still have coverage ability.

63raw speed
61raw agility
55+ vision

those combined, yield a 54 pass defense rating

I would probably go

70 raw speed
61 raw agility
60 vision
48 conf
48 catching

speedster tree, 5 5 5 0 0 and try to find a ADV +Return item and take it to +4 giving you ( 6 6 10 1 1 ) with cust + ADV

my guy breaks tackles buddy. not on every return but at times runs through two defenders and races into the endzone. you can argue all you want but your not going to change my mind. nor do i expect to change yours. if having high strength gives me 5 or more TDs per season why would it be a waste? nevertheless, if you feel it is a waste then dont do it.

DE would be the best for speed, strength, and agility gains but I like having Return Specialist and Change Direction.

Your missed tackles come from the kicker trying to tackle you.

I have put nothing into strength and have been very happy with my guy (39 PR TD's so far this season).

I have put all of my points into Speed, Agility, and Vision. Also loaded up on Return Specialist (and have an AEQ with it, so that helps). Also found an AEQ with Juke, so working on that too.

Next I'm going to try to train up Confidence and probably keep working on Speed, Agility, and Vision at the same time. At some point might like to get my stamina a little higher (33 right now). Am only playing 30-40 plays a game, so stamina isn't a huge deal, but on the games where I have a bunch of returns, there is definitely a noticeable drop-off in the 4Q.

After I get confidence higher, MAYBE I'll start thinking about Strength. Since I'll never be more than the 4th or 5th CB on the depth chart, not sure if I'll ever bother with jumping/catching/tackling. Although, since I also play ST on coverage I might add to tackling at some point, but so far missed tackles haven't seemed to have been an issue.

Looking at your league, I would not be gloating about those stats.

My CB has a 9, 12, 10 in his three speedsters tree and am doing just fine overall. Unfortunately, I don't think they help all that much in the return game. I am building up strength and will hopefully have it soft capped in a couple of levels but I also play the #3/#4/#5 CB on my team so I also need stamina, which I used my last level on. I am currently working on another piece of advanced with Stiff Arm so I am hoping that works in the return game.

My strength is currently higher than the starting CB's so that says something as to how people view strength at the CB position.
