What I have been doing seems to have been pretty successful.
I trained speed/agility to 30 each and then put every SP I had from there on into getting speed and agility to 68.
I then trained just catching on normal (some people think I'm odd for this, but there is a reason) to 30 and then I capped it.
Moved to vision/jumping and got that to 30.
Moved to carrying and strength, got carrying to 30 but strength is something like 25.
Now training stamina and confidence pretty much for the next 4 seasons I think.
Will go back and train strength and blocking a bit, but not much.
Reason I trained catching on it's own is because I wanted to get that to a cap as soon as possible as potentially I eventually want to get this to the 68 cap.

Train speed/agility until you can softcap speed. Start putting all SP into speed until it gets to the desired cap (for a speed WR, at least 68. 74 isn't a bad idea though).
Train agility/vision while you're dumping SP into speed. Once speed is at the desired cap, start dumping SP into agility until either the 60 or 68 cap.
Train catching and jumping/vision/carrying while dumping SP into agility. Once agility is at the desired cap, get catching to either the 60 or 68 cap.
Train jumping/vision/carrying/stamina while dumping SP into catching. Once catching is at the desired cap, continue to work on your secondary attributes and heavily invest in First Step, Quick Cut, and Route Run.

Should I wait to put points untill I can softcap speed alone?
