I'm looking to finalize my result on the punters overall bar formula. Making a player and adding 15 to the above isn't enough, I need somebody with 40+ in the above attributes.

Anyway, just as some motivation, here is where I'm at.

Punter's overall bar =

1/7 * strength + 1/7 * agility + 1/7 * vision + 1/7 * confidence + 1/7 * punting + 1/14 * speed + 1/14 * jumping + 1/7 * (SOMETHING HERE).

No, I can't scale up the rest to be out of 12s. And no, something here is not stamina, or jumping. And yes, throwing is in the bar.

A few things about "SOMETHING HERE"

SOMETHING HERE ends up being the remainder of about 1.28. A few things: This could be two more ridiculous attributes. 8 + 8 / 14 = 1.28, which would cover my remainder for the average build with nothing in these garbage attributes. Problem? It over predicts my data by about 0.3 then, as my data points all had 9 as the remaining stuff.

The other possibility is that it is actually a factor of weight. This would end up being something like (weight - X) / Y. So for super heavy players, you get a tiny constant bonus, and for light you get penalized a bit. This would explain the constant. I wouldn't bother trying to find X and Y but rather just say "+1.25" at the end, and figure the formula will end up "close enough."

---

Anyways, finding a player with abnormally high kicking as a punter, or punting as a kicker, or carrying/blocking/tackling, will immediately give me the result I'm looking for. Either the formula works with the +1.28 at the end, or it doesn't, and I'll know what to include.

PM or post if you can help.

PS for those who haven't seen,

punting = 5/8 * punting + 1/8 * agility + 1/8 * vision + 1/8 * confidence
kicking = ... * kicking + ....

we also have throwing down, and are making progress on a lot of other bars, but frustratingly poor things are included like weight, height, and either blocking or tackling for the rushing bar (lol?).

Tackling would make the most sense. I've see K's with 40+ in it, but not P's

yeah, it is kicking and tackling. each with a 1/14 coefficient. Formula is exact and proven. cool!

Done intentionally to make what you're doing abnormally difficult.

not difficult enough, though :-D We nailed the weight factor in a few bars already, muahaha
