Nope, no coincidence at all.

At least one team didn't get 11 of the 16 endorsements like other pro leagues. But it was still terribly thought out.

Looks like Team Perkis cleaned up. They aren't listed here but they got 5 endorsement deals coming out of our AAA #2 league.

Well, fame is supposed to have an influence when it comes to endorsement deals, so it stands to reason that the most successful teams in a league will see the most deals. The one for Idaho should not come as a surprise in that regard either I guess.

To be honest as nice as the system is I think it would be great if it would be expanded with more deals available so that more teams/players can get involved, just with varying degrees of money and stats on the endorsement EQ.

Personally I'd like to see at least one per team with the idea that each team could realistically have a "Local" endorsement deal as opposed to a national deal. If there are league deals on top of that then that would be fine as long as no player got multiple endorsements.

Discussions are ongoing with regards to a fix, or reinvention of the procedure.

If anyone has any ideas you can either lay them out here and I or Mike will pick them up, or you can drop in on one of the 90 million endorsement threads in the Suggestions forums.

Can you give us a brief run down of the exact problem from Bort's pov? I'm too tired of reading endless whining to sift through the 2500+ thread to find the issues.

From a personal view, I mentioned that it would be nice that each team gets at least 1 local item per team whether that be a lower levelled item than the league handout is unimportant. From a flavour pov call it the "Hometown Hero" piece or similiar.

I think the other issue is that getting a big piece this season gives you a better chance of getting a big piece next year by re-placing you at the top of the lottery. If I understand correctly the system was run where the top player was given the equivalent of 100 tickets, the second 75 tickets etc etc (ok, the numbers are obv. not right but you get the idea.) If the digression is similiarly as steep as you go down the list, there's a huge endorsement initiave (sp?) to being first. Now take the actual spread of fame points. I really doubt that the digression from highest points to lowest is really that steep at the top of the curve. A better way to run this would be simply to give each player a ticket for each fame point earned in that season meaning that the statistical chances of one or two teams dominating the Endorsements is reduced. If this was not the system, ignore this and enlighten me.

Edit: What's the story with players sharing snaps? Surely a Stud QB has a higher chance than an equally talented 50/50 snaps guy.

Well, from Borts pov the issue is several hundred people complaining that they got shafted

Plus the fact a lot of Mods and Testers etc have also pointed out the same flaws. Level 28 HB guys getting awards for 700 yard seasons and 12TD's over a guy with 4000 combined yards and 64TD's - which doesn't really warrant considering.

Basically the system used last seasons gained fame (from what I can tell). Winning shiny things gave you more fame (regardless of your actual ability). Therefore shiny objects = Winnar! A history of shiny objects also = Winnar! particularly if it meant 1 player had pre-existing fame of an equal or superior level to others (regardless of stats).

So if you were on a winning team, even if a level 32TE with 170 snaps to your name over the season, so long as you had fame you had a better chance than a level 48 with 1300 yards and 10TD's.

In some cases this lead to a serious skewing of awards to the top end.

This became even more evident when it was obvious 90% of the awards in AAA were for players now on Pro teams.

Effectively meaning that the Pro teams had two tiers of award winners, and a gulf between them.

Current ideas revolve around giving 2 per team in addition to the overall.

I've argued it should be by conference (not just league) and that there should be minimum requirements (i.e. snap count) to ensure that only those with gametime under their belt win.

I've even suggested the use of the point scoring system that I've seen in a Firefox script in order to judge the "best players" rather than utilising an obviously fooked Fame system.

No complaints with what is above, although the promoted teams should have some advantage
I am more concerned that some players with endorsement deals will continue getting them due to the huge advantage (+6 total in relevant attributes and +1 in SA tree) which is effectively three or four more levels.

My WR got this:

Diamond Medallion
Endorsement with Hud's House of Bling.
The glare can be seen from space.
+3 catching, +2 jumping, +1 vision, +1 to Posession Receiver tree

I find it comical that this stud TE from the Ballers gets 1 out of 16 endo deals: http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=62350

BTW, no Smiths on the list, either here or in AAA? Too bad Corey.

The only piece I was awarded was to my back up FB who was on the Browns last season - now with my sister team:

$400,000 and

ThornCo AbWorker Pro
Endorsement with ThornCo.
Work your core, improve your game!
+2 blocking, +1 carrying, +2 strength, +1 Pancake SA, +1 Power Through SA

I'll be the first to ask why - my FB had only 52 pancakes, no receptions, and .5 rushing yards on the season - again, BACKUP FB.. They should have upped the cash and eased up on the skill points and SA's shitted out. I'm not liking this at all.

From what I have read, the most logical alternative is providing both local and regional Endorsements. This would provide that each team gets either 2 or 3 local endorsements based on fame within the team and then a number of regional endorsements would be provided to each league based on fame and wins....If a player leaves a team his equip for the endorsement would be lost.....seems to make sense as well.

The WEAAA1 rb endorsement went to an undereleveled guy who had 0 carries 1 catch and 1 fumble. This even includes scrimms. He had 684 fame. He one touch all season which he fumbled and he got an endorsement?

That is bad
