I hate defensive linemen and vision in the same sentence. although now I am starting to think Higher and higher vision will help you get the jump needed to get the sacks.
Anyone have a 100+ sack build with very high agility, or very high speed still doing pretty good to prove or disprove my theory, if so what's your vision?

EH, im not 100+ sacks by even a close margin but I do have 90+ agility. I capped vision for the firs time during pre season and saw 4 hurries 5 sacks admittedly against a lower level tackle

Gee, I never put any vision in my D-line because someone last season kept telling me how crappy it was.

And now he wants my "fucking help."

Underdogs makes me laugh yet again! You sir, are a treasure to these forums.

I love treasure. I have a level 25 speed DE recorded 6 sacks and 7 hurries against a level 24 OT then 11 sacks and 5 hurries against a level 16. my vision is only 23.6 but Im training ATM

70+ speed and 100+ agility DEs are crap.

Needs more vision/confidence.

From what I've seen so far, Vision is extremely important for pass rushing DLine. The new VA, 'jump the snap, backs this up. Strength and Agility are more important but I think you need to softcap it pretty quickly if you want to have an effective pass rush/

I am wondering if linemen need vision. I still don't think they do.

By the way underdogs actual pet dog is named vision. This is a sexual thread about pumping his dog.

well, back on topic, i'd say its mildly relevant. Theres definitely evidence to me from the team my DE is on - my build is pretty much the same as the other de's on the team that starts across from me, except his vision is higher, so he jumps quicker.

that being said, i think the "jump the snap" will negate the need for absurdly high vision.

As usual you rather smell people's ass then listen.

I have been telling this group for months now Bort's new algorithm demands a decent amount of Vision, especially if you're looking to sack the QB. It makes your DE recognize a passing play (thus added bonus if you set your DE on Pass Focus) and give you a bonus to getting a decent jump off the line.

Not surprisingly my DE just registered 5 sacks and 2 hurries against an OT that is only 3 levels lower (before I boosted)

I would say you don't have to have extreme # of vision (like don't go crazy and 3:1 cap your vision), but I noticed a significant increase in production when I up vision from 30s into 40s.
