Indianapolis, IN (AP) - The Indianapolis Thunderhawks announced late Wednesday that Season 8 would be their last. Team President (Owner, GM, OC, DC, Scout, Player Agent and Players) SuperHoosier called a press conference to make the announcement.
"We are tired of floating through the season watching higher profile teams come into this league, dominate and move on. We are more of a slow build team because we just don't boost anymore and the other teams in this BBB league have simply passed us by. The games we do win are of such a great margin that it just isn't any fun. How can a team win 210-0 one week and then lose 79-17 the next? It just baffles the mind. I just don't have time to try to figure out this playbook and to gameplan. I have tried many times to bring in quality people to lead this team and can't find anyone willing to take control. I have offered full control of personnel, contracts and everything. If I could find someone willing to do that in season 9, we would consider sticking around...but we just aren't optimistic."
Reports have been circulating that Mr. SuperHoosier has purchased what people are calling a "Casual Team" in another league but we were unable to get confirmation at press time. We were able to confirm that the Thunderhawks didn't re-sign any players from last season who were below the 24 level maximum required for participation in the newly formed Casual League so this could be taken as a sign that this is the intent of Mr. SuperHoosier. Only time will tell.
