This question is mostly centered around DEs but I guess its equally relevant for all D-Line.

VA Jump the Snap:
"This player is aggressive off the defensive line. Each level of Jump the Snap gives a +3% bonus to the vision check required to get off the line quickly, but a 1% increase in the chance of jumping offsides and getting called for encroachment."

My question is if the 3% bonus is additive or multiplicative to the vision check, and how that affects how we spend our SPs on vision. Does this skill get better with vision or can we in fact substitute vision with this VA ? i.e. assuming capped vision => X for vision check roll, with 1 level of JTS is it now (A) 1.03X or (B) X+3 ? If (B) how does JTS behave differently from Football Genius for DEs ?

sorry if my question is just complete sillyness... thanks in advance to all responses for your time

Multiplicative, like all VAs.

so does that make it a better VA than Football Genius?

It is impossible to know for sure as we don't know how Vision translates to the Vision Check for getting off the line. It seems likely to me that solely for the purpose of passing the vision check to get off the line, Jump the Snap will be better. But that's just speculation.

I would say no, simply because football genius will apply to general vision... so you can use the increase for more than just jumping the snap.
