I currently have a +3 Spd piece that I am upgrading, but just came across a +2 Confidence, +1 Shed Block.

Would the upgraded shed block be mroe beneficial than the extra speed?

So you think keep the speed? I figured that the +shed block would really help out since shed block in on the LB tree.

well what LB position do you play? do you blitz alot? i've never spent a point on shed block and i think my LBer is great, but it all depends on what your guy actually does.

if you are going to be blitzing a lot (at least 25-50% of the time) i'd say get it. if not i'd much rather have the speed.

He is sent on a blitz about 20% of the time, but the description of the SA says it works on all types of blockers, but is more effective against pass blocking. I suppose the it's the consensus around here that it won't matter much is shedding a run blocker?

Like you I imagine it helps for more than blitzing, like peeling off a blocker, say a FB or anyone else between you and the ball carrier. I already went down that road and had it up to a decent level, I can't wait to see how I respond when the Shed block piece I just got levels up a bit more.
