Waste of time to train jumping on HB's or no? I seem to consistently get a few yards "falling forward" every rush w/ 40 jumping. Opinions?

I usually get those yards by "falling forward" with my 14 jumping.
But I agree it helps with catching passes.

I started a thread a few months back asking whether folks who had trained "jumping" up to the 30s had noticed any difference. The replies were generally "no", and the only folks who noticed anything said it seemed to improve catching.

It will help if you have the dive for yards SA. I think that the combination of strength AND jumping helps that, not just jumping.

also, it will help more with catching passes. Most of the times it looks to be bobbled, its because you jumped, tipped it and then brought it down. In that time it ussually gives the defenders reaction time to tackle you.

It's worth training into the mid to high 20s, but I wouldnt take it much higher.

jumping helped a little with dive for yards but nowadays it's way more strength and falling forward... i regret training jumping with my hb it would have been better spent on carrying before bort powered up the force fumble tackling setting around season 5 or 6

jumping, as per words of bort, helps broken tackles (albeit in a very small amount). The idea is that if you can jump higher, you can avoid some of the lower wrap up foot tackles. i dont have where he said this, though. it was quite a while ago.

I've heard from a very unreliable source that it is very helpful in hurtling tacklers...
